Sideboard

Thematically, this deck functions like a complex machine. Every piece builds off of one another, eventually creating a suffocating amalgam that starves opponents of any sort of threatening board state. It is built to make the best use of Marchesa, the Black Rose's ability to recur creatures with +1/+1 counters on them, fueled primarily by the sacrificing of the various Arcbound creatures.

As long as Marchesa remains on the board, it is difficult to disrupt my plans, as I can usually just sacrifice my creatures to dodge any counterplays my opponents might throw at me. By placing counters on creatures with things like the Arcbound creatures, Extruder, and Steel Overseer, I'm able to create a board presence that makes very good use of enter-the-battlefield and death triggers, as my creatures can die and return to play every turn, including my opponents'.

The "Engines" are the instant-speed sac outlets that allow for these ETB and LTB effects on each turn. Altar of Dementia is notable for allowing me mill a player in 3-4 turns, with only a few (2-3) arcbound creatures for fuel.

Shenanigans and ramp can usually offset the relatively high CMC, unless I face heavy disruption from multiple sources.

Suggestions appreciated, especially concerning ramp.
