Don't know why I didn't think about it but with Conspiracy instead of Xenograft cards in your library will be Allies as well so you can use Ally-only tutor effects to fish them out.

Have you thought about Celestial Dawn for some great mana fixing?

If you're focusing on etb effects, brago seems like a solid choice.

Aura Shards is a good defense to torpor orb...

@Jsmillis

Torpor Orb actually negates Aura Shards' ability, if I'm not mistaken. Torpor Orb doesn't look to see if the effect is controlled by the creature ETB, it just looks for any triggered effects that associate with creatures ETB. A one-shot removal spell is probably your best bet rather than any ETB effects that rely on creatures.

Still, that's not to say Aura Shards isn't a good addition to the deck. I added it under the Maybe Board.

@majorappliance

Good addition! I made the deck to favor flavor over functionality (while still remaining fun-to-play and casually-playable), so Brago doesn't really fit in with the Ally creature theme, but I put him under the Maybe Board for people who aren't weird like me.

Great stuff! What's your opinion on you mana base? I'm trying to throw together a similar deck and almost every source I find says a five-color deck needs 40 lands plus rocks.

Also, MoH:AA was an amazing game. Easily the best WWII shooter I've played.

@Optimator

I rarely have a problem with 36 lands and 2 rocks in this deck, but those times are very few. For the most part, a good shuffle and mulligan can get the lands I didn't before. The Partial-Paris mulligan also lets you drop out expensive turn 5+ spells in exchange for a chance at more land. But be aware that this deck is set up to be extremely casual, and thus has a lot of spells with converted mana cost of 5 and under. Most EDH decks like to pack BIG baddies and battle-cruiser spells, so 40 WUBRG lands would be more important in a deck like that.

35-40 lands is what most EDH decks will run, depending or regardless of mana rocks. If you play a couple games and find you're mana screwed or you miss some land drops early game, try adding 1-3 more. In the end, it's entirely preference and relative. :)

Been wanting to make this ever since I pulled the foil Tazri. Thanks for the ideas, this will go a long way to helping me build mine.

I dunno what I would suggest, Birthing Pod? Defense of the Heart? Chord of Calling? Most noticeable omission is certainly Coat of Arms.

+1 from me sir, well done! I have wanted to do a 5 pillar deck for a good long time now, but have not really landed on what I want to do. I think that I will probably use a few cards that you are not using due to your anti off-flavor tendencies, insert Venser, the Sojourner and Brago, King Eternal. Overall I have always found the Allies intriguing, but really did not know how to make them work as a group. Granted this is when I was still playing tabletop/60 card deck rules, but hey, nobody's perfect. Anyway, nice deck.... and if you have time, I'd enjoy your feedback (and +1's) on mine!
