Taur-nu-Fuin

Modern*

Sligo

After the Dagor Bragollach, the darkness of Morgoth began to corrupt the northern forests of Dorthonion, and they came to be called Taur-nu-Fuin, the Forest under Nightshade. This name is sometimes also used for the land of Dorthonion itself, after its capture by Morgoth.

yes this was inspired by a fictional forest and most cards that will be cut from the initial build are purely in for flavor.

the strategy here is to relentlessly attack your opponents manna base, enchantments like pooling venom and contaminated ground are good in the early game since your opponent may wish to hold off using a land that will shock them each time they use it. the many land hate cards help with this strategy, of course a lot these like desolation plague, are just tool boxes for removal, the low creature count is at the moment a problem, there just aren't enough cards like acidic slime, so feel free to comment i will post on how she does at a local tournament after some playtesting. (definately want help with the sideboard, what cards will help overcome affinity? amulet bloom?)
