Massive Update —July 31, 2017

So after a lot of discussion with the cedh community and fellow Tasigur players, I have swapped out a lot of cards and upped the budget since I now own a lot more valuable cards that increase the deck's viability. I have cut almost all reanimation synergies including Entomb, and I have swapped out Palinchron and Phantasmal Image for Dramatic Scepter and Isochron Scepter because they allow for more mana efficient wins.

Current Decklist Record (1-0)

How is $600 considered "budget"? This deck should be renamed

mortilus: This deck is labeled "budget" because the original decklist costs $3600 (original decklist is tagged in the description). For competitive EDH, a deck costing less than $1000 is most certainly budget.

Also, when people write budget, it is a relative term. I had an original budget of $600 for this deck. Eventually, I'll get ABUR duals and some of the more optimal cards, but for now, this list is in as optimal a form it can be for the budget on which it was built.

Dude I am digging this list! I've been reading and watching coreman tasigur deck and brewing my own version.

I'll never afford abur duals or cards like timetwister (even if I could, I don't think I could justify buying a card for that price) so my deck will always be "budget". Even still this list looks highly competitive.

+1 for sure

So for your video recordings... In trice... You can go to the settings and there is a field "change to multi-column layout at player number" or something similar, don't have trice available to get exact wording. Change that from 5 to 3 and you will move away form the pancake view and to the boxes.

Sorry it was killing me... its pronounced 'neck-crow-po-tents'.

I am at work now and can't really pay huge amounts of attention to the small card sizes so will have to watch more of them later. I got about 15 minutes into the Tasigur v Sisay v Clique v Mina and Denn game where you got Clique'd after casting show and tell. Bad beats there.

buildingadeck: watching the video from the cEDH tourney.

Essentially Shadow of Doubt is the same slot as Negate. Except it draws you a card and can screw over some things that Negate can't, like boonweaver, sidisi's tutor, random critical fetches, etc.

@19:55 I'd probably have played the Deathrite. It actively screws with both opponents once you can remove creatures. You did mess up with mana stuffs from carpet but that was probably a bigger thing to think of. Removing creatures, instants and sorceries is super relevant for graveyard combo decks, which you were facing two of.

@30:20 - cyclonic rifting your gilded drake works wonders. Ends up costing two more mana than you spent but gives him 1 less dude and has one of your combo pieces not under someone else's control. Actually just an overloaded rift there would have been good enough. Lets you reset Karador's Board, elesh is in his hand and can't really be cast, you can still kill imoc that turn and you have gilded drake in your hand with an alchemist's refuge out to instant speed steal something relevant.

All in all not bad, but a few things to think about.

coreman: Thanks for the comment. Yeah, Deathrite definitely slipped my mind in that moment, and I agree that overloading rift would have been excellent in that moment. It would have slowed down the Karador player to an extent.

Oh, also, coreman, in my paper list, I've replaced a forest with Reliquary Tower and my Fact or Fiction with Diabolic Tutor. The third tutor makes a huge difference for me thus far in testing, and the Tower works well with Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur.
