This deck is heavily heavily influenced on T12H's deck BUG Birthing Pod Toolbox Control. My deck just has a few minor differences. I originally chose Tasigur, the Golden Fang to lead the deck because he can recur some stuff on his own, but soon realized that The Mimeoplasm was superior due to his ability to steal things out of other people's graveyards as well as recur from mine. Like T12H, I too found that building a BUG commander heavily focused on the graveyard meant that card slots were being filled with cards that served only to fill up the graveyard. I would rather use those card slots to play cool utility creatures or removal spells. Here is my attempt at a toolbox value engine deck.

I made some updates to the deck Sept, 2018: I found that I could get low on life from Dark Confidant and sustaining the deck into the mid to late game. Sometimes I become the police and have to get rid of pesky stuff which can turn me into a target. So I have added in some ways to gain life and hit opponents at the same time. I've added Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Kokusho, the Evening Star for some opportunity to gain some of the life back. Most of the black cards I play have in their cost which helps with the damage. Also in helping with in mana costs: I have swapped Terastodon out for Razaketh, the Foulblooded. Terastodon was usually pretty nasty and Razaketh, the Foulblooded helps me get out my engine if I don't have it already. I'll see how this works.
