Seriously, I've got such a raging clue right now. I think we'd better follow it.
Welcome to my investigation fun-fest that is the Raging Clue.
hateindigital has done it again and created a wonderfully inspiring standard deck (TAMIYO'S(DISTORTION)BRIDGE). I'd go check it out.
Having dropped quite a bit of money into my last standard deck between a playset of Collected Company, Nissa, Vastwood Seer , fancy lands, etc, all I wanted for my new deck was pure budget. Like, seriously-reconsider-a-card-if-it's-over-$1 budget.
Enter the clues.
- The common clue combos are here. Briarbridge Patrol + Tamiyo's Journal lets you tutor for a Bane of Bala Ged and get it out fo' free. Erdwal Illuminator, Thraben Inspector, Tireless Tracker and Ongoing Investigation ensure that the clues keep coming.
- Tireless Tracker is a beast and really combines well with our ramp. Evolving Wilds, Blighted Woodland and Explosive Vegetation loove her.
- What makes this deck substantially different from other clue decks I've seen is the addition of white in Angelic Purge. Because guess what, ladies and gentlemen: all your wonderful effects that have to do with sacrificing clues (such as Graf Mole ) don't require you to have sacked it for a card draw. Which means the "cost" associated with Purge's otherwise outstanding removal capabilities is hardly a cost at all!
If anyone has any other budget suggestions or replacements, I'd love to hear about them. Go follow your own raging clue!
