Alrighty then, actually went 3-1 at a Showdown, which after a 2/2 with the super-jank version of this last week I guess I'll do a thing! Bring your own SB, because mine's janky and I'm pretty sure the only cards I ever sided in were singletons of Altered Ego, Confiscation Coup, and Summary Dismissal.

3-1 7/29

Round 1 - 2-1 U/R Locust (control?)

I know I won 2-1, but the details are a little sketchy. I just know the guy seriously needed some blazing volleys or dual-shots somewhere in the 75, because I recall one of the games I won was just due to making a ton of Servo's with Grandma.

Round 2 - Colossus/Deepfiend 1-2 loss

I managed to curve out just right and run him over game one, but game two he had the answers and game three I mulled and hit minor flood stage.

Round 3 - Ram-Red 2-1 Win

Game one he couldn't get through the wall of Turtles and Servos, and I beat him to death with a large turtle and some fliers after stabilizing at 1 life. Game two he had more removal than I had protection, and he resolved a Hazoret while we're in top-deck mode. Game three I steal his enchanted Khenra to beat down, barely stabilizing at 2 health this time and winning with an all in swing.

Round 4 - UR Kefnet Visions 2-0 Win

I don't remember the details too much, other than they were both Grindy and Tamiyo's a boss. We'd both misplayed, but my misplays rekt me less than his misplays, so I won after a pair of twenty minute matches that were quite fun.

Tired Ramblings-

Pashiri can run away with a game if left unchecked, she just make so many tokens, and late-game they can be quite large.

The Doom Turtle was an all-star, I got one to at least 3/6 every match and won Round 4 with it a 6/9.

the singleton Ongoing/Mysteries might seem weird, but I couldn't see myself playing more of either, to be honest.

Aether Swooper proved his worth in his first outing, being able to poke the opponent down while making chump blockers was amazing, especially in the Ram-Red match.

FabMod is a fun card.

This deck has tons of mana sinks, allowing you use mana efficiently without over-committing.

Apparently I forgot to write this in, woops! I hardly remember the details, but I'll do my best. Sadly there was only 6 people there, but we round-robin'd it, so I still got 5 matches in.

Round 1 - GR Ramp 2-1 W

I mulled to 4 in game one and still almost pulled it out due to him flooding. Games two and three I put down a clock and kept some counter magic up to seal the deal.

Round 2 - Reservoir Combo (Cheerios*) 2-0 Win

The deck is soft to counterspells, and doesn't play much removal, so it's fairly easy to just build a guy up and smash them down. He was fairly new to the deck, but didn't make any obvious misplays that I can remember.

Round 3 - RG Energy 2-1 Win

Just your basic RG Energy deck with earthshakers, ToD, Glorybringers, and Hazoret's in non-zero numbers in the 75. He never got the Pummeler kill on me, and I can't remember why that was.

Round 4 RW Humans 0-2 Loss

My only loss in the tournament, due to a combination of the deck going wider and taller than me, and he was playing a few Gryf's Boons to make it even harder for me to stabilize. Probably an unwinnable match up without major changes due to the lack of sweepers/removal.

Round 5 - 4c Bolas 2-1 Win

This was a weird deck, since it was some kind of goodstuffs controlish pile. The late-game was very good, if he was able to survive that long. Unfortunately, even with all of his removal, the tap-lands made him play off-tempo and I was able to stick threats and keep them there with protections. Also, Pashiri was a house.

And there you have it! With a little extra removal and the ability to either make a single large creature and protect it or spam servos, the deck performed quite well, and even my mulligan's were game due to the lower curve of my deck, and flooding didn't hurt as bad due to the number of mana-sinks it runs.
