Maybeboard

Spam the board with drakes and swing for the win. This is my main EDH deck and it has served me fairly well, and manages to make the competition pull out chunks of hair while playing. I hope you enjoyed this Talrand deck. I made this deck for the people who can't spend thousands of dollars on a fun and effective EDH deck and to show people who do spend that much that you can have fun while sparing your wallet.

COMBOS:

1.) Standardize with Peer Pressure makes it possible to permanently gain control over the entire board-state.

2.) Standardize and Coat of Arms gives you an instantly scary flying army of drakes boosted based on how many other creatures are on the board.

3.) Coat of Arms with Aligned Hedron Network is a quick way to get rid of someone's massive board-state for a while.

4.) Quicken and Mass Diminish a surprise way to kill off some hard-to-handle creatures.

5.) Polymorph and a Drake to get a creature out. Stormtide Leviathan can lock most opponents out of attacking. Tidespout Tyrant can be used to quickly take away an opponent's mana-base or board-state. Spark Double can be used to copy Talrand, Sky Summoner to produce drakes faster or Tidespout Tyrant to change the tide of the game even faster.

6.) Talrand, Sky Summoner and Eye of the Storm will produce drakes at an exponential rate.

7.) Sphinx-Bone Wand and Eye of the Storm deal unstoppable damage at an exponential rate.

8.) Aetherflux Reservoir with Eye of the Storm to gain life exponentially and use Aetherflux Reservoir 's second effect to one-shot an opponent at starting commander life total.

Let's Do Politics:

1.) Polymorphist's Jest could be used to save yourself or it could be used to spare the life of another to hopefully help you later on.

2.) AEtherize stops a full on assault for yourself or another player could make a deal to assist you later on in exchange for their life.

3.) Redirect changes the target of a spell to another of your choice to stop maybe a pumped up Fireball from hitting you or someone you'd like as an ally.

4.) Game Plan allows everyone to be happy and the best part is everyone can chip in for this all around helpful card.

5.) Coat of Arms can be a bargaining chip to buy some time. Someone playing tribal could have a scary board and you could strike a deal you play Coat of Arms in exchange they spare you, a very tempting offer that you'll be able to take advantage of with Aligned Hedron Network exiling their big creatures at no cost to you.
