Take Your Time – Monoblack Creatureless Softlock

Modern Budget Casual Creatureless Mono-Black

Klempky

There's not much to say about this deck, really. I wanted to make the most passive-aggressive black deck I could, and I came up with the idea that you should win almost entirely by goading your opponent into attacking you and suffering for it, but without any surprises to it: the deck's win condition and life loss is built pretty much entirely on the other player's poor decisions and early gambits not paying off.

Make any attack your enemy might want to do somehow not worthwhile for them (stall) long enough to pull out a Painful Quandary or Tyrannize, and then wait until you can lay down a Sorin's Vengeance or Corrupt to win.

This isn't a particularly good deck, and against other creatureless/low creature decks it really falters, but like any unconventionally fun Magic deck it'll alienate everyone who'd want to play with you, which is an important metric to build by.
