A quick attempt at making a Tajic, Blade of the Legion deck for french EDH.It's basically about getting Tajic out and then wiping everything clean. Tajic + Worldslayer = I win. That simple.

I took this deck to a french EDH tournament at my local gamestore. I went 2-2 all in all.

First match was against an Animar, soul of the elements deck that simply comboed me out. I had a rather slow hand and couldn't land an Armageddon. Oh, and Animar having protection from white SUCKS BALLS. He beat me 0-2.

Next, I played an Oloro, Ageless Ascetic deck. His deck was based around Doomsday, a card I've seen do some utterly ridiculous things.. Game 1, I landed an early Tajic that simply couldn't be dealt with. Game 2, he used a tutor card (can't remember which one) that allowed him to find three different cards and I had to give him one of them. The rest would go in the graveyard. He found Snapcaster Mage, Doomsday and Cryptic Command. I gave him the Cryptic knowing that a Doomsday would be my death. So, my mainphase I draw out the cryptic (tapping him out) with a Sword of Fire and Ice, attacked with Tajic and another critter and Armageddoned the board. He never recovered. 2-0

Third match was against a Thraximundar deck that I really should have won against, but mana screw and then mana flood let him get in control of the matches. Tajic isn't really a match for sac effects.. :( 0-2

Fourth match against Sliver Overlord. I kept a rather fast hand with mana and Boros Signet, allowing me to fetch Umezawa's Jitte and played a Baneslayer Angel. After hitting him a couple of times with the Walletslayer, I Armageddoned the board and set him back completely. Jitte took control of whatever creatures he played. Game 2 was more of the same, except this time my opponent was also mana screwed... So Tajic and his land destruction spells never really had to do much to secure the win.

All in all, I had a lot of fun with a new format (Never played 1v1 commander with french rules before). I need a lot more protection spells against combo decks, since "fair" decks are easy prey.
