This deck features:

Soldier synergy - Assemble the Legion and Mobilization provide consistent Soldier creation, and several creatures (Captain of the Watch, Precinct Captain, Preeminent Captain) help to get more Soldiers on the field.

A Battalion theme - From Tajic, Blade of the Legion to Firemane Avenger, Battalion effects can be very powerful. The trick to ensuring these effects go off consistently is to have at least three creatures ready to attack, which can be accomplished using either cheap haste creatures (Bomat Courier, Lightning Berserker) or creating Soldier tokens (Raise the Alarm, Captain's Call).

A Sunforger package - Using Sunforger allows for quite a few cheap, niche cards to be added that can be pulled out at any time such as Apostle's Blessing, Grab the Reins, and Make a Stand. Sunforger itself can be tutored either into your hand using Relic Seeker or into play using Godo, Bandit Warlord.
