The main point of the deck is to get equipment out and attempt to connect them with Syr Gwyn. The reason why it has tags like Control is due to Sunforger. It is possibly one of the best equipment with Syr Gwyn. Just due to the fact that it is a free counterspell with Pyroblast/Active Volcano etc. Even if they cyclonic rift, you could use teferi's protection if you have a better budget.
