Hi all! This is an attempt to a Voltron/Tokens deck with Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor as the Commander. The basic idea is to suit up Varchild, swing, create a bunch of tokens, and then gain control of those tokens with suff like Conjurer's Closet or High Market

Sice the very first time I saw Varchild's War-Riders I started thinking how to break that card, but I just couldn't find a way to do it efficiently. And thus, since Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor was spoiled, I immediately thought of making a Voltron deck with it, and create a ton of survivors. The next thing to do is to blink or sac Varchild, with things like Conjurer's Closet for example, and gain control of all the survivor tokens (which by the way, they have an amazing art).

The Voltron package is quite straight forward. There's stuff like Loxodon Warhammer , Sword of Vengeance , Fireshrieker and so on. There's also a Grafted Wargear , which can sacrifice Varchild to get the Survivor tokens, or it can just boost Varchild a bunch. Finally, if you Blink/Sac Varchild, you're going to need a bunch of mana to replay or re-equip Varchild, and so, the mana rock like Hedron Archive or Thran Dynamo , Curse of Opulence or Ashnod's Altar (to sac tokens) are very handy.

One you have all the tokens, you can do a bunch of things with them. You can attack with them. You can also sacrifice all of them to Goblin Bombardment and deal a bunch of damage! Or also you could Burn at the Stake and deal another bunch of damage. Or you could just sacrifice them all to Ashnod's Altar and get a bunch of mana for Banefire or Comet Storm . For a similar purpose, this deck also has Neheb, the Eternal , which can help re-casting Varchild, or getting a lot of mana for one of the X spells. Thanks to the comments, this deck also has stuff like Coat of Arms to make the tokens just arbitrarily huge

Furthermore, to increase damage, and help with Varchild's ability to make tokens, there's Dictate of the Twin Gods and Furnace of Rath to help maximize the damage, or Gratuitous Violence which is a damage doubler only for my creatures (this last one is a comment suggestion)! :D

Finally, I don't think any Voltron deck is complete without Grafted Exoskeleton . Because sometimes your opponents don't want to play fair Magic, this equipment is a great opportunity to "one-strike" them out of the game!

Well, this is the deck idea! I must add that this is my first attempt at a Voltron or even Mono-Red deck, so any feedback, comments, suggestions or critics are more than welcome! :D

P.S: The swords and other stuff in the Maybeboard is there for availability/budgetary purposes, some I might include, some I might not. It's really hard to take out cards of the current deck for some cards in here hahaha :D
