Swingin' for... WHAT?

Modern Budget Casual RW (Boros)

ruy343

Maybeboard

Sorcery (4)

The goal of this deck is to be put out a handful of weenies which suddenly become huge when they attack (via Sigil of Valor and Angelic Exaltation ). Before you swing with your sudden fatty, be sure to use Subterranean Scout to make it unblockable (it doesn't have 2 power until it attacks, but by then it's unblockable), and get the extra mileage you deserve from all this prep by using Gravitic Punch to finish the opponent quickly. The fact that Gravitic Punch is re-castable really makes this deck purr. Meanwhile, Mentor of the Meek enables card draw when he's on the field (expect removal), and Collective Effort goes a long way toward dealing with diverse threats.

Is it competitive? No. Is it hilarious? You betcha!

Note: this is built with cards I have lying around (which is why there's only one Goblin Instigator and Healer's Hawk and three Dragon Fodder s. If anyone has suggestions for improvements (please be budget conscious), let me know. I intend to get a few more Swiftblade Vindicators already (probably replacing the Goblin Glory Chaser s or Healer's Hawk )
