I play tested this deck against my animar deck, Ataraxic89's Eldrazi Deck.

I played it twice. It performed very badly. Maybe just bad draws but I made sure it had at least 3 lands in hand.

Your mana costs are WAY too high for how little mana ramp you have. Which in green, there are no excuses.

Where is Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Birds of Paradise, Llanowar Elves, Explosive Vegetation?

Also, your lands are too slow. Now, this is a more expensive fix than the above 5 cards. But IMHO its better to have basic lands, than too many "slow" lands that enter tapped. I strongly suggest you reduce the number of "this land enters tapped" or "this land taps for colorless and does a neat thing" lands to 10 or less of all your lands. The exception being things like shock lands, such as Stomping Ground, or a checkland like Rootbound Crag.

Lastly, you need to remove some of your more expensive CMC cards. Your average is almost 5 cmc. Thats just too high.

TLDR

You cant "Go Big" if you cant cast your cards.

For having an equal amount of lands of each color your deck has a lot more green in it than anything. Have you thought about trying mono-green with Omnath, Locus of Mana? If you just replace a few cards you can get your deck rolling pretty fast. Omnath kind of builds itself.

I'm going to assume you are moving from modern/legacy (basically 60 card) to testing the waters of EDH (you've got a Goyf and a Crucible of Worlds), and in my opinion Omnomnom is a very fun and easy to play deck that can quickly take games to the next level.

If you don't want to switch, you still have 45 green symbols you can use with Karametra's Acolyte.

I'd also suggest running some more artifact and/or enchantment destruction, as you have a lot of access to that in R/G.

I don't want to be someone who builds your deck for you so I don't want to make suggestions and tell you what to take out, but if you want some more help from someone who (sometimes) isn't an asshole let me know.

This deck is awesome, I always love the big-creature-beatdown theme! I think there's definitely some room for improvement to make it more competitive. In my opinion, the most important adjustments that should be made are 1) Bigger mana rocks 2) More efficient mana dorks 3) Card draw 4) Eliminating cards that have 0 support.

1) I would suggest Thran Dynamo, Basalt Monolith, Grim Monolith and Mana Vault. Weaker mana rocks aren't going to hold up when you're consistently casting 6, 7, 8+cmc spells. This will make the deck a lot faster.

2) The only two mana creatures you have now are Sacellum Godspeaker and Smokebraider. I think you should replace both because Godspeaker makes you reveal your hand and could possibly produce 0 mana, and Smokebraider is only useful for elementals; and there's only a handful of them in the deck. I would suggest cards like Krosan Restorer, Whisperer of the Wilds, Somberwald Sage and maybe even Shaman of Forgotten Ways and Circle of Elders.

3) Suggestions for colorless/Gruul card draw: Mind's Eye, Rishkar's Expertise, Harmonize, Life's Legacy, Faithless Looting and Domri Rade if you could fit him in.

4) Parallel Lives, Feed the Clan, Rakka Mar, stuff like that. I would also suggest replacing Concordant Crossroads with either Fervor or Fires of Yavimaya. CC gives haste to all creatures, including opponent's.

I hope this helps! Happy deck building.

This deck just keeps getting better. Thanks for the help!!!!

I'm currently in the process of building an Omnath, Locus of Rage deck myself, but I have noticed some dis-synergies in your deck that could be improved on if that's ok. First, Omnath likes making land drops. Now, if your focus is just on beating down with your other creatures, you can disregard some of these suggestions. For me, I want to focus on getting my commander out asap and make sure he floods the board with tokens that punish people for wiping the board afterwards. For that, I need lands and ramp. One thing I noticed with your deck is that you have a lot of artifact ramp, which doesn't work as well with Omnath (or with your own Perilous Vault or Bane of Progress for that matter). Other than Sol Ring, I'd remove all of them for Kodama's Reach, Cultivate, Explosive Vegetation, Nature's Lore, Skyshroud Claim, Rampant Growth, Hour of Promise, Harrow, or Nissa's Pilgrimage. The great thing about them is that they're all relatively cheap to get (both cost-wise and mana wise), and lands in general are harder to remove than artifacts. You may need to add more basic forests to your deck if you decide to include all of them, but it would be worth it. I'm planning on running 43 lands for that reason. Since you have good cards like Burgeoning in the deck already, having more ways to get lands into your hand is all upside!

A few other good cards for omnath: Shamanic Revelation-> gains life AND draws cards (and is a bulk rare), seems better than Feed the Clan. Ramunap Excavator-> more Crucible of Worlds is better when you have Strip Mine in your deck! Ulvenwald Hydra-> giant fatty that also searches up your dark depths combo lands, Perilous Forays-> sac an elemental, deal damage, get a land, make an elemental, repeat :)

Hope some of that helps. I tried to suggest things that help whether you're focusing more on omnath or not. Have fun!
