My take on the ever-popular Pod-less Pod!

As you may know, this deck aims to construct one of the many available creature combos using Kitchen Finks, Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, Murderous Redcap, Melira, Sylvok Outcast, Viscera Seer, Archangel of Thune, and Spike Feeder. We power out creatures with Collected Company, and select the final pieces with Chord of Calling. In order to cast those tutors/card-advantage machines faster, we play 9 mana dorks (some lists run 8 dorks and 23 lands, which is also fine).

The basic combo is to have a persist creature, a sac outlet, and one of the legendary creatures out at the same time in order to gain infinite life or deal infinite damage.

Persisters: Kitchen Finks (Infinite Life), Murderous Redcap (Infinite Damage)

Sac Outlets: Viscera Seer, Cartel Aristocrat

Legendaries: Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, Melira, Sylvok Outcast

The other well known combo is to play out Archangel of Thune and Spike Feeder together to gain infinite life and infinite +1/+1 counters on all non-Spike Feeder creatures. The main reason this 2-card combo is included is because this is the only combo that functions in the face of grave-hate. Assembling only 2 cards is easier than 3, and there is a new deck that focuses only on this combo gaining notoriety.

Some other neat combos and tricks:

Archangel of Thune + Kitchen Finks + Viscera Seer - Gains infinite life and infinite +1/+1 counters on all non-finks creatures.

Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit + Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Murderous Redcap - Gains infinite bolster triggers when targeting your own Redcap with its ability.

Archangel of Thune + Scavenging Ooze - All creatures gain a +1/+1 counter when Scooze eats a creature from the GY. Scooze itself ends up with 2 counters per activation. (Not an infinite combo, but worth remembering)

Fiend Hunter + Viscera Seer - With the Seer out, sac fiend hunter in response to his ETB trigger to perma-exile a creature.

Fiend Hunter + Kitchen Finks + Viscera Seer - Need to remove a -1/-1 counter from your Finks before you can combo off? Target it with your own Hunter, let the ability resolve, then sac the Hunter to return a counter-less Finks to your board!

I've had fun so far exploring this deck. I hope to learn all its tricks and become highly proficient at piloting it. Let me know if I missed a good interation! Don't forget to +1!

Updates Add

I've decided to give this deck another shot recently, as it has been putting up good results due to people skimping on grave hate after the Golgari Grave-Troll ban supposedly 'killed' dredge (fyi, it didn't). Regardless, dredge doesn't exist in my meta so most people aren't running much gy hate anyway. The new Renegade Rallier however gives some recursion against removal-based control, which does see play in my meta. I don't have the older fetches to make my list ideal for the renegade, but with the 3rd Viscera Seer hopefully I'll be able to use it effectively.
