A basic Surrak Dragonclaw dragon tribal deck. Simple goal is to beat people in the face with our dragons. We are light in board wipes due to the sheer expense of the dragons and how slow it can be to rebuild from one. To compensate for that, we run cards that let our dragons be the board wipes/removal, using Chandra's Ignition and Ulvenwald Tracker as answers. Rampage of the Clans feels great in this deck as the answer all for artifacts and enchantments in place for Beast Within , as all of our dragons are larger than the 3/3s that are made. Cindervines offers some light punishment for those players who like to durdle behind some Propaganda and Ghostly Prison and can be a targeted artifact removal if needed.

Card Draw/Advantage: Temur Ascendancy , Colossal Majesty , Kindred Discovery , Monastery Siege , Rishkar's Expertise , Sarkhan Unbroken , Herald's Horn , Kindred Summons , Vivien's Invocation , Vizier of the Menagerie

Ramp: Urza's Incubator , Dragonlord's Servant , Kodama's Reach , Cultivate , Traverse the Outlands , Sol Ring , Beastcaller Savant , Dragonspeaker Shaman

Reasons for certain questionable cards.

Rhythm of the Wild : Q: Why have this when your commander already makes your stuff uncounterable? A: Well, it not only doubles up on an effect I have in the case of Surrak getting too expensive, it also gives all my dragons riot, aka another source of haste in most cases. The occasionally ability to make Dragons bigger is also a big plus.

Crush of Tentacles : Q: Why not run Cyclonic Rift ? It's straight up better. A: Holding up 7 mana each turn is tough for this deck. This does what I want and can let me get some other uses out of some ETB effects again as well. And the occasional 8/8 octo is nice too.

Scourge of Valkas : Q: Where the hell is he? He's like an iconic Dragon card and is practically a must have! A: Scourge is left out simply because too many times I will tutor for him or simply win the game off of Sarkhan's ultimate going off (and I don't even have to attack) and to me games felt very linear and samey, so I decided to not run him to make the game more fun for myself and my opponents.
