This a ramp deck in modern heavily focused around artifacts using charge counters. The deck aims to build up to a quick Wildfire effect to reset the board greatly in our favor. It is similar in play to Affinity, Tron, and Lantern to an extent. The deck can be very explosive and fast. Having no real creatures in the main deck will often blank our opponents removal game one. We rely on the fact that affinity is not dominant enough to require others to pack more artifact hate main deck.

The quick mana ramp is achieved with the combination of a charge counter manipulator and a chalice. These are Coretapper and Surge Node or Everflowing Chalice and Astral Cornucopia . These paired together can create massive amounts of mana quite early and set you up to devastate the opponent. It is not uncommon to spit out 3-5 cards on your first turn. To date, the highest ammount of usable mana I have had turn 3 is 17.

Wildfire and Destructive Force are the main sweepers in the deck while also providing a huge tempo swing in the game. Resolving this card almost always guarantees a win for the deck. With the right hands, they can be cast as early as turn 2 and almost always by turn 5 against light disruption. There are very few creatures that can survive a Wildfire or Destructive Force, but when that happens we have other ways of dealing with them. Karn, Ugin, and Lux Cannon are all some form of removal and gives the deck a lot of options for removing almost all enemy threats.

The main finishers for the deck are Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and Karn Liberated. A secondary finisher is in the main deck in the form of Grindclock. It is possible to mill our opponent out even if they have Emrakul, the Aeons Torn with Mikokoro, Center of the Sea. You can respond to the trigger on the stack. The sideboard contains alternate finishers depending on the match-up. Using the right finisher against the proper deck is important. Sideboard finishers include Banefire for the control match-up and Wurmcoil Engine for the aggro/burn match-up.
