Historic Aggro Knights RBW (Mardu) Tribal

Creature (1)

After some extensive playtesting and tweaking, I'm proud to announce this deck has been refined down to a razor's edge! I've finally found a way to make mardu knight tribal work, and it works well! This deck goes so aggro that you don't even need Murderous Rider as it actually slows the deck down some.

The main goal is to push for damage early(obviously), while having tribal boosting spells and a bit of recursion to last into the mid-late game. With Embercleave you can easily close out a lot of games.

Tips for piloting the deck:

  • Cast Blacklance Paragon only on your opponent's turn or after blocks have been declared.
  • Always cast the adventure half of Smitten Swordmaster or Order of Midnight first when appropriate. You are never that desperate for creatures that you need to cast the creature side first.
  • If you have to choose between Fervent Champion or Knight of the Ebon Legion turn 1, always go Ebon. It's the difference between 1 damage turn two, and 3 damage turn two.

Notable combos:

  • Skyknight Vanguard + Corpse Knight
  • Fervent Champion + Blacklance Paragon
