better Bear tribal. Obviously Ayula is the best if you keep the deck mono green. So the question i asked and tried to answer the question does adding another color add more than having Ayula as commander. Obviously Wilson being a the legendary bear that can have colors added I played with some other color combos. Red got eliminated immediately because it added next to nothing and gruul tends to have the same issues as mono green, the only thing it adds is making the deck a bit faster. Blue was the next eliminated because while adding tempo and ways to protect the bears the best background for this deck was candlekeep sage which diluted it a bit because to gain full value from the background the deck got muddled with some overall useless flicker effects. That left white and black. Both of these offer similar upside as supporting colors. Both offer the targeted removal, board wipes and protection that green lacks. White won out in the end because it had both the better background in folk hero to keep your hand full of bears and protection/recursion to make the deck more resilient.
