I when presented with an idea, instead of asking myself why I asked why not? For a $50 budget modern tournament that my playgroup is having, I decided to go with storm since it seemed like a good idea.. Everyone knows storm to be a deck about playing spells one after the other with various rituals such as Desperate Ritual and Pyretic Ritual. This is also a storm deck that plays card after card but in a different way.
It is based on playing many artifacts in order to up storm count. The main way it does this is through playing Foundry Inspector, Etherium Sculptor, and Semblance Anvil in order to make artifacts much cheaper, if not usually free. Then you play a couple of your rocks such as Mind Stone, Hedron Archive, and Everflowing Chalice. After you have at least a few rocks and cost reduction cards out, playing Paradox Engine ensures that you will always have mana for more artifacts since each spell will untap all of your non-land permanents, letting you retap them for more and more mana.
One of the most fun things to do in this deck is to have a bunch of artifacts out and a couple of reduction cards, then to play a Paradoxical Outcome to bounce a bunch of cards to both replay them to up the storm count and to draw more cards to play, both of which just fill your hand up.
Te main wincon of this deck is Aetherflux Reservoir. Its a nontraditional storm cards but it has great synergy with this deck, being an artifact and all. Other than that there is a single copy of Grapeshot and Empty the Warrens because they are just great. Metalworks Colossus is just a huge beater that will take a good bit of your opponents resources to get through.
