pie chart Stuffy Doll Tournament Dream

My first deck, and the card that inspired me to play magic.

<3 Stuffy

*took out the elixirs for swiftfoot boots

I think Lightning Bolt would be ideal for this deck, as it is for almost all red decks. You might also consider Slagstorm; it not only clears out your opponent's creatures, but it also deals damage to Mogg Maniac, Spitemare, and Stuffy Doll. Just a thought.

One thing to keep in mind is your mana curve. Your have 23 cards mana that costs 3 or more; almost a third of your deck. You have the land and instants to take care of that so this deck should be good. Just something keep in mind for future decks. (That was the first of many massive mistakes I made)

Awesome use of Shivan Meteor + Stuffy Doll . Not sure how Volcano Hellion works in this deck, but that's okay. I'd also look into Pyromancer Ascension - that may be of interest to you.

@ Sudain: The Volcano Hellion deals the damage to Stuffy Doll . Thus, more than likely, causing a huge amount of damage to your opponent.

A very solid deck I'd say. I, too, am a huge fan of Stuffy Doll . When I was first introduced to him, I saw how uber he was (after much frustration on my part to deal with him lol) and wanted 20.

Maybe Volcano Hellion in combination with Platinum Emperion for a good combo.

July 30, 2011 12:14 a.m.

Wouldn't that make the Hellion's effect null, thereby killing it?

@ Kenny: No and No. Platinum Emperion says that your life total can't change. You can still take damage, but your life will still be the same. So, Volcano Hellion still does his damage to the player (owner). I'm not understanding your logic on how this could kill the hellion though.

In any case, I agree with hrrhythm0's suggestion on the Platinum Emperion . Although, I'd also suggest some kind of mana ramp somehow. Maybe Armillary Sphere s?

I use Spitting Earth and Barrel Down Sokenzan and other similar spells because whats cooler than doing tons of damage for really cheap?

Stuffy Doll is probably my favorite card ever. I have a deck based around it too, called The Stuffiest Doll. Check it out for inspiration if you would like.

Anyway, on to your deck. The curve seems a bit steep, getting the doll out quick can be tough in decks like this. I would recomend Simian Spirit Guide for a second turn stuffy with Rite of Flame . it worked wonders for me.

Looks like you're trying to keep it mono-red, but if you would be willing to splash white, you could always go with the great combos Stuffy Doll +Pariah and Stuffy Doll +Guilty Conscience .

Of course, thats how my deck works, but yours doesn't have to, of course. :P

Overall, love the deck, love the card, and i wish you good luck. +1

PS. love the idea of using Swiftfoot Boots . I'm stealing that for my deck, haha.

slimoGMS, I assume the boots are meant to enable the Volcano Hellion to attack once before it dies for not paying the echo cost.
