This deck was so terrible for so long, that I considered just breaking it down for parts so many times. This had its genesis in a deck building spree where I was really feeling mono blue. It was a scraps deck made up of unblockable creatures and Halcyon Glaze with standard blue staples. That deck was just a hot steaming pile of garbage. I eventually scrapped the unblockable theme, and remolded it around Mesmeric Orb as a high stakes mill option, coupling it with just tapping everything in existence, crossing my fingers, and hoping it worked. Turns out, if I couldn't crank out the mill win that way, I was left with a lame and weird mono blue deck that didn't do a whole lot else, and would get completely shut out half of the time. I finally decided to give this deck one last go, and invest a couple of bucks into getting some truly supportive cards of the theme, and get some actual damage in there so I wasn't riding a one trick pony into battle. It finally started to click, and the deck I had been dancing around for years was finally starting to come into focus. This is still very much a work in progress, but I'm finally starting to see what this deck is and what it wants to do. This deck really wants to annoy the crap out of you in various ways, and annoy you into submission, all while playing a high stakes game of library chicken every time you hit the untap step. The Mesmeric Orb + Psychic Spiral combo is a nice win con for late game heroics, and the sphinxes give me some muscle in case I cant get the mill engine going.

2022 update: The sphinxes were too expensive and slowed the deck down. Really doubling down on the tapping and the mill aspect has helped this deck come into its own.
