As a budget player who decided to approach Modern find a deck that makes your case is not easy, it's not a mystery that budget and competitive are two opposite things so the question is: which deck? Probably the most important thing is personal taste and secondly, if you want to make it competitive, upgradability. I plan to stay budget so I was just looking for a budget deck as competitive as possible and that I would like to play. So Mono G Stompy has arrived and it's never gone. At the beginning I did nothing but copy netdecks without thinking, copy paste again and again, and that's why this deck existed for so much without ever being seen by anyone, 300 views were made only with my changes, or rather my copy-pastes. But now I decide to make this deck MY deck and use the help of anyone interested to make it better and better, so thanks to anyone who wants to give me even just a tip.I have dwelt too much, let's talk about this deck.

Mono G Stompy is a non-explosive aggro deck that uses efficient green creatures and pump spells to deal tons of damage as fast as possible, it tends to play following the mana curve (ie cc1 in turn 1, cc2 in turn 2, etc.).

Creatures

Experiment One: best turn 1 play, continually grows and can regenerate. It's a bad topdeck but it's well worth it.

Dryad Militant: a 2/1 for 1 that hurts decks with instant and sorcery that can still be useful in graveyard and evolves Experiment One.

Wasteland Viper: now there are 10 1 cmc creatures which is a good balance between speed and consistency. Evolves Experiment One, nice blocker thanks to deathtouch and bloodrushing it on a trample crature destroys a blocking creature without losing damage.

Strangleroot Geist: if the opponent does not play removals as Path to Exile immortal is a problematic skill and it has a good devotion count.

Avatar of the Resolute: a 3/2 trample with reach, still good for devotion and has synergy with Experiment One, Strangleroot Geist and Scavenging Ooze.

Kalonian Tusker: good devotion, good stats, a small Leatherback Baloth

Leatherback Baloth: good devotion, incredible stats, this card is a nightmare for some decks.

Groundbreaker: this card really surprised me, and my opponents too. With Aspect of Hydra it can reverse a game, even win it.

Dungrove Elder: too many removals out there to not play this card. Can be slow but gets value from playing forests.

Instants

Aspect of Hydra: almost always at least a Giant Growth, steals games that couldn't be won otherwise, especially with Groundbreaker and just for .

Vines of Vastwood: protects against creature removal, pump and prevents an opponent's creature to be targeted by an upgrade.

Blossoming Defense: fifth Vines of Vastwood, worst but some more protection is not bad.

Enchantments

Rancor: +2/+0, trample and evasiveness at a very low cost, obviously not affected by Dryad Militant.

Lands

Treetop Village: extra body that is protected by sorcery removals, can also be a blocker but coming into play tapped can be an obstacle. Used it so many times to kill Liliana of the Veil.

Forest: not much to say.

I'm not playing fetchlands firstly for budget reason and they are not necessary for deck so I prefer to keep this deck under 100$.

Sideboard

Choke: Islands? I won.

Creeping Corrosion: Affinity destroyer.

Deglamer: an Oxidize usable on artifacts we don't want to destroy (Wurmcoil Engine).

Dismember: fastest and cheaper creature removal we can have. Prey Upon is a good replacement against small creatures based and all-face decks.

Grafdigger's Cage: incredibly good in some matchups.

Great Sable Stag: double color protection is really strong, dyes to Lightning Bolt or Path to Exile but used against UB decks it's godlike.

Heroic Intervention: anti board clear card, good even used only for hexproof.

Life goes on: similar to Feed the Clan but I think it's easier to use due to cmc and easier to trigger.

Oxidize: artifact removal.

Scavenging Ooze: allows to slow the opponent and gets bigger using dead creatures. It can also banish noncreature cards if needed.

Shaper's Sanctuary: do you remove my creatures? I find new ones.

Spellskite: I don't think this needs an explanation. Super strong and synergize with Shaper's Sanctuary.

Unravel the Aether: Deglamer number 2.

Any help is appreciated.
