Sideboard

Sorcery (2)

Enchantment (3)

My version of Living End.

1/24/19: MB: No changes SB: Dead / Gone replaced with Shriekmaw . Now that hollow one, death’s shadow, and affinity have fallen out of favor you’re much less likely to get punished by shriekmaw’s inability to kill black/artifact creatures.

7/29/18: 13th place SCG Indianapolis Modern Open (Yes, this was me): Small Sideboard Changes, Mainboard feels fine as is. SB Changes: 1) Cutting Ricochet Trap for another Slaughter Games

2018: To accommodate for the rise of Humans and UWx control decks a few changes have been made: 1) Architects of Will is gone. --Too many people playing lightning bolt.

2) Fulminator Mage has been completely moved to the side and Beast Within has been moved to the main. --Mainboard answers to Meddling Mage and Ensnaring Bridge are a must.

3) Land base changed to include fewer fast lands. --Hard casting creatures is more relevant than ever.

SB changes: 4) +3x Dead / Gone . --Additional answers to Meddling Mage , Gurmag Angler , and Wurmcoil Engine . I play with over Shriekmaw because it is 1 less mana to hit the Meddling Mage , and it is not a dead card against affinity/hollow one/tron.

5) -3x Ricochet Trap . --UWx control run so many boardwipes that resolving Living End is not enough to guarantee a win.

6) +1 Slaughter Games / Boil . --Depending on your meta one of these could help a lot in many of Living End's bad matchups, ie. Storm/Control

2017: (I decided to focus on speed and consistency in the mainboard. I did this by moving a lot of the utility cards (specifically, Beast Within ) to the sideboard. This deck will consistently allow you to combo off turn 3 without missing a cycle. Assuming you don't run into a hard control blue deck, or run into Scavenging Ooze / Chalice of the Void (you rarely see either game one) you'll win.

Game 2/3 you have the tools to beat any deck: Ricochet Trap for the control matchup, Leyline of the Void for dredge/toolbox, Ingot Chewer for affinity/artifact decks in general, and of course Beast Within for tron/ad nauseam/damn near everything else.

I own this deck in paper and it's my usual deck for tournaments. The Deck is Fast. The deck is resilient. The deck is consistent.

If I had one issue with it, it would be that the deck isn't too complicated/hard to pilot, this combined with its consistency can make it a bit monotonous, especially pre-sideboard. However, even if it gets a boring you can bitch about it while cashing in all your store credit kek.

If you like the deck +1

And if you want something more fun/unique check out some of my other decks.
