MTG Deck Builder

Description

First take on an Aggro style G/W

Deck is meant to be up and sustainable by turn 4, went more an aggressive populate route then straight damage output .

I like how this will run. I'd possibly do either one or two more Rancor . Since you're going more agro, look into using either Silverblade Paladin or Wolfir Silverheart . These are great additions since you'll gain double-strike with two creatures or +4/+4 on two creatures. Another interesting card to go for is Ajani, Caller of the Pride . Overall, I like how it's running now.

20 lands seem kind of low, but with mana ramp this shouldn't be to hard to get what you need. I would say -3x Selesnya Keyrune for 3x Farseek or 3x Scorned Villager  Flip . The latter could be really beneficial as a mana producer. If it transforms, you would then have a 2/2 vig you could attack with and then tap it for mana. It's a great card.

Also, if you're wanting to have more life-gain, I would add another card:Trostani, Selesnya's Voice. I think if you were to incorporate some of these changes, or even all of them, it would make a much a more effecient agro deck.

Thanks for looking at my deck as well. +1 FOR THE CONCLAVE!

True true, I like your suggestions, though to offer my own humble opinion I like the Selesnya Keyrune s only because if i'm boardwiped I still have populateable tokens and blockers still if need be for the turns following after a boardwipe, most notably Supreme Verdict and Mizzium Mortars ...

I did drop one though for another Rancor , and i'm trying to find space for the rest of your suggestions as well, anymore discussion over this would be grand Bigburlybill

Hey no problem. I'm really hoping to make GW decks into something to be feared. It doesn't matter if it's mine, or someone else's deck. ;D. I can understand your love for the Selesnya Keyrune s. They are rather good. A 3/3 centaur whenever you need it, or tap for either mana. I rather like them as well. lol

Board Wipes are by far the worst thing for our deck types. Whether it be tokens, flicker, or creature swarm, a wipe can always hurt us. The best cards I've found are Rootborn Defenses and card:Faith's Reward. Either way, I think that maybe sideboarding some of these is a good idea. I see you already run 2x Rootborn Defenses . I'd say keep it where it is and have 2 extra in a sideboard in case the opponent runs multiple wipes. It can also help in creature trade-offs. Overall, I'd only use them though when the opponent is going to kill multiple creatures. That's more playstyle and not deck list though. lol

Another good idea is to throw in a few more creature producers. Entreat the Angels is a game-winning card if you can miracle it. There's also more white cards that can make tokens. Precinct Captain is also a really good creature to have as it produces a token whenever it deals damage.

I realize my suggestions are quite numerous, so it might be difficult to incorporate all of them without taking out something. Of course these are all suggestions and nothing more. I'm quite interested in seeing what this deck will become later on. =)

So far the only problems this deck is seeing problems against are anything flying so i'm going to add 2x Silklash Spider and 2x Lingering Souls to add to the versatility of damage output. I'm lucky enough to have only had this deck loss a total of 4 times out of the 16 games it's played in. also i'm looking to slim down another deck i'm thinking about, thought you might be interested in offering suggestions on it as well, here's the deck link for you.

deck:senates-conclave

hope to hear more from you BigBurly I like your input a lot sir
