I made a list of things I would suggest to consider:

1. Get some black mana in there. Can't rely on Waste Not for mana, not to mention you don't have enough cards to make it work for you.

2. The above being said, Waste Not doesn't really fit this deck. It is a card that I think is just too overrated and is trying to do too much.

3. I strongly suggest Aeon Chronicler . More draw and gets stronger with the idea of this deck.

4. I think if you want to make the Notion Thief to work, you need Sign in Blood . It essentially negates the life cost for you and you still get the cards. And regardless, it's a great card for drawing.

5. A "No Maximum hand" card I would suggest is Spellbook . No max hand for free. Should definitely be in here, three or four copies.

6. I have no clue why you have Kraken Hatchling here. Vanilla and not helping your goal. replace it with the above.

I think for this deck, you will want about 24-26 lands because you're going to have quite a few high cost cards in the deck. Duo-lands are a must as well. Watery Grave , Drowned Catacomb , Polluted Delta , and Sunken Ruins should be what you're looking at.

As for the cards in the maybeboard, I wouldn't consider anything but Seizan, Perverter of Truth and Thought Gorger . Especially Thought Gorger because of the trample and the potential damage output it can have with all the drawing.

Now that you pointed it out I dont have nearly as much discard as i thought, although the magnitude of discard from whispering madness seems likely insane. I think I'd rather have more discard than take out waste not, just sorta because... lol

I have the kraken hatchlings to get that one drop for some protection and i can ramp him up to a 3/7 with ordeal of thassa but yea that is probably an amateur strategy.

Still need black land dude. Plus you need more Spellbook , like 4 copies worth of it. I also thought Bident of Thassa and Ordeal of Thassa were good cards for your deck. Especially the ordeal because of the way it combos with Chasm Skulker .

Yea the lands aren't tricky, i just don't feel like looking up the names and stuff right now. the rest of the deck is more fun to work on most of the time :P

the question is what to take out. Would it be safe to take out a single notion thief? I have such draw that perhaps having 4 could be too much. And i could take out a whispering madness, but that is what will completely solidify my advantage. Maybe I only need a single thought gorger.

so -1 notion thief, -1 thought gorger +2 spell book? -1 venser journal, +1 spell book? (already made this exchange but leaning towards switching back)

atm I only have a chasm skulker in my possession and hadn't looked at this type of deck until two days ago. Thanks for being pretty damn awesome helping me out with this. Im going to deconstruct my mill deck for this due to its high cost.

I would actually go (from what I see right now) +1 Aeon Chronicler , -1 Psychosis Crawler , +2 Spellbook , -1 Whispering Madness , and -1 Dictate of Kruphix . Keep the number of Thought Gorger since its only a cmc 4. I would keep the number of Notion Thief you have for the amount of draw you have for your opponents. The choice is yours if you want to keep Venser's Journal .

alright EverythingIsK, I think this is it's final form short of duel lands although i have a playset of drowned catacombs. I actually just put them in then took them out (virtually) cause I will eventually just order this whole deck online.

My last switches were; -2 lands +2 Reliquary Tower . -1 spell book +1 jace.

I think this is good. The only personal thing I would do is only have two copies of Jace Beleren and have at least 3 copies of spell book, just so I don't have dead draws. But that's just me. With this deck, you're going to go through your deck rather quickly, so you're more than likely going to get at least one Jace 1 out of 30 cards. And he's not even your win condition. you have your Aeon Chronicler , Chasm Skulker , Psychosis Crawler , and Thought Gorger . So right there, you have a 1 in 6 chance of getting the card that will win you the game. Have a fun time building this :)

So I've made some changes to help with early game. This is not how I will be initially building my deck, however if this were its finally form I would be pleased. What do you think of the changes?
