I'd run a Pheldagriff group-hug style deck for awhile, and while I enjoyed playing it I found it hard to play against all my friends insanely spiked EDH decks. So, I shifted the focus from group hug to a Bant Control build.

Pheldagriff still sits at the heart of the deck, crewing Conqueror's Galleon   when he/she/it is not acting as my mid-sized beater.Recursion gives this deck its legs, making it possible to play hard control at a table of three or more players. Conqueror's Galleon   + Seedborn Muse and any counter spells or board wipes can help lock the late game while you assemble the pieces for a combo finish.

You can deck the table with Temple Bell + Mind Over Matter or maybe an arbitrarily large Blue Sun's Zenith or Increasing Confusion If you're like me, you probably enjoy taking turns. That's why you can always shoot for the late game Time Warp lock.

Backing these up are a suite of Counterspell s, removal options, and protection effects. The best way to play this deck is to sit behind your pillow fort calling the shots until you stumble into a combo and accidentally win the game.
