Auras n control and Bruna, OH MY!!!!
All help is needed, this deck is focus around Bruna, Light of Alabaster
Phyrexian Metamorph -- helps provide extra support whenever it is needed, It can copy a Armored Skaab to help mill some more, or put of the other player for one or two more turns; which is despretly needed by this deck
Armored Skaab -- helps provide a early board status that easily deals with threats like stormkirk-noble s, etc. These also add to your graveyard, adding potential to flashback Unburial Rites Lingering Souls ,etc
Bruna, Light of Alabaster -- Helps abuse the self milling you have done, and create a hilarious reaction on your opponents face when you play her. This bitch wins games
Curse of the Bloody Tome Provides a nice graveyard filler everyturn, might be removed
Unburial Rites What is not to like?
Lingering Souls Keeps me alive early game and these bad-assses are carries late game occasionlu
I'm not sure what it is, but it seemed I could never get anything to go right when playtesting. I either didn't get blue mana, or I didn't draw Bruna, or I just couldn't hold back the other deck long enough to make things work.
I like the idea, and Bruna, Light of Alabaster is a great card... but I couldn't get things to flow right. Part of that could be to the abundance of three-drop cards.
Honestly, Bruna's designed for EDH rather than standard. However, I'd suggest a combination of blue self-mill and reanimation. I can't comment on the best self-mill cards, but I'd suggest Unburial Rites , Defy Death , Angelic Destiny or some other buff, and Corrupted Conscience .
The rest of the cards should probably be very control-oriented, as you'll be playing a fairly slow game. Does that help?
Well with your color combo you can try Thought Scour and maybe use that Skaab that makes you mill four on entry. And of course there's Forbidden Alchemy And of course if even just add black and/or green you can use Liliana of the Veil for discarding enchantments or Bruna. And green has Mulch and card:Tracker's Instincts.
There doesn't seem to be enough control for a deck that relies on a creature combo for a 6 mana creature with no land ramp. Personally, I would eliminate the splash of black in favor of more consistency in your control since you only have 1 possible source of black mana in the deck. Also, some way to give Bruna, Light of Alabaster some sort of protection from bounce or removal spells would be a good sideboard choice.
Overall, I like the feel of this deck and playing against it is fun in a non-competitive scenario.
I'm not too fond of Curse of the Bloody Tome just because it can backfire. Imagine if you pitched your only source of black mana, and were banking on using it?
If you wanted to expand on black, you could incorporate cards like Dark Favor or card:Predator's Gambit, and you could also capitalize on some of the control cards that black uses as well (i.e. Killing Wave ).
I was going to suggest even splashing a different color (green or red), but the useful enchantments to go into the deck strategy... well, there are very few! However... if you splashed red you COULD use Faithless Looting , which is pretty much standard in a Frites style deck (and then you could also use Furor of the Bitten ).
All just little suggestions. I tend to get long-winded. Cheers!
