Abstract

Orzhov Vampires!

Children on the night fled from their liars and is threatening neighborhood. Don't wait to fight them back or they'll suck all remaining blood from your veins before you notice...

Strategy

To start, either try to slow down opponent with low CMC Deathtouch creatures (e.g. Vampire of the Dire Moon) or hit hard with Knight of the Ebon Legion.

Secondly, summon Bloodthirsty Aerialist and Cruel Celebrant (best with Dread Presence or Midnight Reaper alongside). This way you'll grow in power quickly and earn cards advantage in case of board removal.

Final accord would be Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord or Thirsting Bloodlord which gives the board a powerful strike.

If that's still not enough, we have Demons on our services (Spawn of Mayhem and Doom Whisperer).

Combos

• The Boss: Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord gives all my creatures lifelink which enables various lifegain triggers and what is more can bring back creatures (especially efficient for my 1-* and 2-drops).

Nice addition is that when you bring back a creature like that, it will be a Vampire in addition to its other types.

This card combined with Spawn of Mayhem is extremely powerful as the Demon DEALS damage during each upkeep, so it also gives us life thanks to Sorin's Lifelink ability.

• +1/+1 counters on Bloodthirsty Aerialist + Vampire of the Dire Moon (or any other creature with Lifelink or lifegain possibilities like Dread Presence)

• Vampires tribe: Knight of the Ebon Legion + Thirsting Bloodlord or any other Vampire

• Dying outlet: Bankrupt in Blood + Cruel Celebrant or Midnight Reaper

Please advise if you see the deck could do better (please note it's a budget-ish build so Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord is not an option).

Especially I'm interested in your opinion if Gideon Blackblade is good here taking into consideration amount of mana.
