HAAA.

0-4. Lost every round I played before I dropped. And then I asked experienced Magic players what to do. At the root of the problems was that, I had everything to help tokens, except... well... tokens. And therein lies the problem and as such I did a total retool.

  1. CUT BLACK. Black wasn't doing anything at all. Sure, Liliana, the Last Hope has a great emblem, but going up against decks that essentially can kill you by turn 4? You don't even have an opportunity to get there. So, I dropped her, and realized none of the other black was doing me many favors. Cryptbreaker is fine early game, but I wasn't pulling it enough to be able to use it. Dark Salvation did nothing. And having a third color threw the mana way off and I wasn't pulling what I needed. All together, black was an issue and needed to be dropped.

  2. MAKE MORE TOKENS. Another big thing was that the concept behind the token deck was to build the tokens up with things like Intangible Virtue. However, there were no tokens to build up. So, I threw in the big token producers like Secure the Wastes and Lingering Souls. This boosted the white significantly, where it now takes up 75% of the deck. We have some of the green left over, like Nissa, Voice of Zendikar and Parallel Lives, but for the most part it's white.

  3. DROP THE THINGS THAT WEREN'T DOING ANYTHING. Yes, I am looking at you, Second Harvest. As much as I love that card, it was good for a comeback, but at 4 mana and especially when I can be putting in cheaper things to help make tokens already, it had to be cut. I put in more Path to Exile's for removal, threw in a couple Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, and then dropped Oath of Gideon. I think this was a better choice in the long run.

  4. BUILD A SIDEBOARD. Okay so I haven't finished this one... but I will work on it soon,

That's it for now. I'm going to playtest and get back with you soon.

Stay tuned.
