Solemnity now

Solemnity lock + infinite sac combo,

Solemnity lets us do a bunch of cool new thing; most notably becoming immortal with the dredge staple Phyrexian Unlife. But it also now wins us games fast with some old friends. Our primary win condition is the infinite combo Solemnity with Geralf's Messenger / Kitchen Finks and Cartel Aristocrat / Viscera Seer.

Mainboard:

Geralf's Messenger and Kitchen Finks were made for this deck, there's limited options for creatures with persist or undying and even less when you want enter the battlefield effects, but Geralf does the job perfectly. For now Finks covers us if we're without a phyrexian unlife but would be better replaced with another win-con, may we hope Wizards prints one. Cartel Aristocrat and Viscera Seer similarly are the cheapest and best option, letting us scry for combo pieces with excess creatures and do exactly what we want for cheap.

It takes about 5-6 turns to win so our most important goal early game is to take removal spells out of our opponents hand and get our combo pieces down. Thoughtsieze ) and Inquisition of Kozilek with Path to Exile and Fatal Push along with the sideboard helps shutdown most counters to the deck.

We've also got Dimir Machinations to find pesky missing enchantments or replace lost ones.

Side boarding:

Tron is the biggest problem game 1, I take Ghost Quarters (or Fulminator Mage) and remove blue lands, inquisition and Glen for Surgical Extraction and Stony Silence. Negate is also recommended for All Is Dust. Pithing Needle is also included to screw mana and protect against Karn etc.

Relic of Progenitus stops dredge and the new Claim / Fame and scarab decks.

Stony Silence annoys affinity and equipment decks, also disrupts lantern control if you can get it out, helps against tron to mess with Expedition Map, Mind Stone and Walking Ballista (not that you need it).

Supreme Verdict something for weenie decks, aggro and tribal red
