Sideboard

I believe that all cards in this deck are legal in Modern, but the deck was not designed to be Modern competitive.

Focuses predominantly on utilizing large creatures with either trample ( Abominable Treefolk , Conifer Wurm ) or flying ( Rimefeather Owl ), based on snow permanents. I chose to limit Conifer Wurms and Rimefeather Owls to less than a playset due to personal preference and their relatively larger mana costs; personal discretion regarding their numbers is recommended.

Some board control in the form of Dead of Winter and Winter's Rest , mild mill potential due to Iceberg Cancrix (primary purpose as early game blockers). Dead of Winter is generally an amazing board wipe versus non-Snow decks, but should be replaced versus other Snow decks. In this event, potential replacement options sticking with the Snow theme can be found in the sideboard (obviously alternative non-Snow replacements can also be considered at the player's discretion).

Marit Lage's Slumber provides the potential for an additional heavy hitter and gives the ability to scry for virtually every permanent played, while Rime Transfusion can be used for the active ability preventing non-Snow creatures from blocking.

Ice-Fang Coatl for draw power and potentially using the flash to deathtouch-ambush a large creature.

Rime Tender can be used either as land ramp (untap tapped lands for more mana) or to give pseudo-vigilance to Abominable Treefolk or Rimefeather Owls. This can surprise less attentive players by untapping larger creatures during an opponent's turn.

Due to the fact that the only non-snow non-permanent cards in the deck are Dead of Winter and Glacial Revelation , Glacial Revelation will often provide 4-5 cards to a player, with the downside of them being revealed. As such, Glacial Revelation could be potentially substituted for alternatives if the downside is perceived to be too large.

Land can be optimized by adding up to 4 Scrying Sheets if someone is willing to spend the additional money for a casual deck. Lands replaced may vary based on individual preferences.
