Description

The harder you hit the hive, the more bees come out!

Pictured below: Death's Shadow covered in 13+ hornet tokens.

some_text

Main win cons: Boros Reckoner or Hornet Nest + Blasphemous Act or Skred / Insult / Injury for either a bunch of damage up top or board clear while making lots of bees.

This deck uses Forbidden Orchard to help generate some more creatures for Blasphemous Act while mana fixing. Skred might be trying to do too much since the mana base is confined to the snow-covered lands.

Other cool combo: Soulfire Grand Master with Blasphemous Act or Nahiri's Wrath for a ton of lifegain.

If you liked this deck enough to put it in a folder, don't forget to

Any suggestions/tips would be helpful! Thanks for stopping by!

Nahiri's Wrath works great if I have a Blasphemous Act in hand but not enough creatures on the board. Pitch that and an Insult / Injury and that's 15 dmg to a Boros Reckoner or Hornet Nest.

The Blasphemous Act + Soulfire Grand Master is INSANE!

God that would be brutal in EDH.

TMBRLZ depending on how many creatures are out, it might just be game ending...

I playtested this some and had so much fun. I need to go troll people on xmage. Turn 4 nuking the board for 13 to the face and god knows how much lifegain.

I'm so glad! It's super cheap on mtgo too. I'm still torn on the skred. It might be worth it to have better lands since it's a three color deck. Anytime you don't have Birds of Paradise or Forbidden Orchard it can be very awkward.

Yeah if you aren't firing in the first five turns the deck starts to end up dead on the water it seems.

Would Arcbond be good in here? (Marketing:) Check out my new modern deck, Ghoultree Would Not Seem Like One to Have Visions.

Thank you for the +1! And usually we aren't at a great life total from the spirit token beat down that we generated for our opponent with Forbidden Orchard. We do have 8 bombs in Boros Reckoner and Hornet Nest but if Arcbond wasn't "each player" I think we could use it here. It would be sweet to deal 26 damage to our opponent in one turn though. I might have to do some playtesting!

I mean if you have Soulfire Grand Master in play you could get around the repercussions.
