Here's my first take at a Snapdax, Apex of the Hunt deck.

The main goal of the deck is to beat face with Snapdax, the raw value that he gives us for swinging in can quite easily put players on a turn 2 clock and simply can not be ignored while building this deck.

We're also running a second wincon in the form of the infinite Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista combo which gives us the ability to machine gun the table ( Heliod also synergizes incredibly well with Snapdax with is 4 life gain mutate trigger making him enter the battlefield with an additional counter on him).

The last hidden trick that we have in the deck to help us close down a game comes in the form of infect with Glistening Oil, we're therefore running two tutors just in case we don't draw into it, gives us the abiltiy to go fetch it in times of need if a player is getting out of control or if we're simply looking to close the game (note that this is no where near the main way this deck wants to win, it's more so a fail-switch in case things get out of end in the late game).

We run a package of cheaper deathtouch creatures/artifacts that go incredibly well with the mutate triggers that Snapdax and Porcuparrot have, which essentially gives us "Murder on a Stick" to remove any pesky trouble/blocker cards our opponents have on the field that might hinder our plans.

Lifegain and the life ressource also plays a fairly important part in the deck, it plays as a buffer role in order for us to survive longer or take crackback turns whitout suffering too too much since we'll be swinging in fairly often and should expect some punishment. We're running obvious lifegain synergy cards to make our creatures bigger ( hitting harder and more difficult to take down), make us draw cards and the likes such as, Alhammarret's Archive, Well of Lost Dreams, Heliod Sun-Crowned, Dawn of Hope, Necropotence etc.

Big token creautres that reward us for mutating, attacking or gaining life are also an important part of the deck since they give us more mutate targets and give us a more imposing board presence in order to smash face. Crested Sunmare ( horse tokens are indestructible which make great mutate targets to protect are important creatures like Snapdax), Cubwarden gives us more lifelink targets, Grave Titan can easily overwhelm the board with zombies and Liliana's Reaver not only rewards us for attacking with him by giving us tokens but also makes our opponents discard a card (extra punishment, cherry on top).

The biggest weakness of mutate creatures is the "over" commitment of creatures on the same body which makes them prime removal targets for our opponents and extremely good value for them if they succeed in removing them and sets us back a tremendous amount if we do suffer the lost. So I spend extra time and attention supporting and negating that weakness as much as I could by adding and indestructible, hexproof and most importantly bounce back theme to the deck.

The indestructible and hexproof cards speak for themselves really so I won't spend time explaining why they're in the deck. As for the bounce cards I found them to be so incredibly effective in so many ways, let me explain.

They not only act as protection for our mutated creatures but they also give us the abiltiy to mutate even more often without necessarily flooding our deck with mutate creatures which lets us have a more focused deck.

Cards like Together Forever or Erratic Portal can protect our mutate creature from ANYTHING( exile, boardwipe, sacrifice etc), they bounce EVERY creature under the mutate pile back to our hand which dodges the commander tax and also gives us the abiltiy to recast the creatures to recast those mutate triggers on top of it all. In the same vain we have creature cards like Glitterfang which play the same roll, after a board wipe, replay Glitterfang with a Snapdax on top of it swing in for 6 commander damage then bounce them both back to your hand to protect them until your next turn comes along.

If your creatures get countered or somehow get removed we have a few options to pull them right back out of our graveyard with cards like Whip of Erebos ( which also gives us a hasty creature from left field and lifelink which is sometimes all we need to close off a game) Phyrexian Reclamation, Lurrus and Sun Titan ( which can bring back more of our lifelink deathtouch mutate targets or equipments to help us close the game).

There's my brief gist of the deck, hopefully you liked it! I'm honestly glad I came around Snapdax, first when he got reveal I wasn't much impressed by him, but the more he brewed in my mind the more I realised he could be this really fun intense Commander to pilot ( obviously not top tier competitive but definitely powerful enough to bring the pain at any casual table).

Thanks for taking the time to read, if you have any feedback on how to fine tune it to bring the power level up a tad bit let me know and I'll be more than happy to take any constructive feedback into consideration!

Thanks again and have yourselves a great day, cheers!
