Combo/control sliver deck for tribal night at LGS. Main strategy is to get out one of the following combos:

Sliver Queen + Basal Sliver + Heart Sliver + Mana sliver (infinite mana and hasty creatures)

Sliver Queen + Mana Echoes + Heart Sliver (Infinite hasty creatures)

Intruder Alarm + Mana Sliver + Sliver Overlord + Heart Sliver (Tap all slivers to tutor with overlord, play what you tutored to untap them, repeat until you can cast Sliver Queen or you have pulled out enough slivers to make Sliver Legion lethal)

Paradox Engine + Mana Sliver + Sliver Overlord + Heart Sliver (same as above but any spell causes the untap)

While this doesn't guarantee you a win, Paradox Engine + Dormant Sliver + Mana sliver lets you dig very deep for the final pieces.

The mana slivers are Gemhide Sliver and Manaweft Sliver

Protect the combo with counters and hate removal spells.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Seems solid. Perhaps test Rally the Ancestors in place of Eternal Witness? If your LGS players are the kind to hold counters versus combos, perhaps trade a Sorcery like Vindicate for Dispel to help you win the counterspell battle when protecting your combo?

However, it certainly seems solid the way it is.

I hadn't considered Rally before. I'll definitely look into it, thank you!

I've seen many sliver decks and i very often see a specific mistake.look at your silvers. Notice anything missing, before reading the rest, actually look. Noticed yet? Your slivers aren't threats. Sure, they may be practically unhitable, but they are still all 1/1 creatures. For example, your opponent may not be able to use cards like terminate on them because of crystalline sliver, but that doesn't mater, because they don't do any damage. How to fix this issue.-Use buffing slivers Sinew Sliver Muscle Sliver-Make them a problem Galerider Sliver Syphon Sliver Pulmonic Sliver-Make them Powerful Striking Sliver Venom Sliver Bonescythe Sliver

Let me know if I helped at all!

simon4garfield:Resolve Rally the Ancestors to put your combo pieces on the battlefield and you can win right then-and-there. However it doesn't bring back Mana Echoes or Intruder Alarm, so you have to ask yourself if your group wisely uses spot removal to interrupt combos, or if they get scared and boardwipe far too often?

Herbenix:While I would normally agree with you, his stated goal here is Control + Combo. That means no wasted slots on aggressive cards. He is all about Control and assembling one of his several infinite combos. It doesn't matter if they are all 1/1 Slivers when you make a million of them on Turn 5 or 6 and then slam Acidic Sliver or Heart Sliver. ;)

can someone please tell me why I keep seeing intruder alarm in slivers decks?

Sliver_God they boardwipe nearly every turn, it's actually fairly ridiculous. I generally have to either resolve the combo in its entirety during my turn or hold enough counter magic up to counter the various wraths. Graveyard recursion of some kind is an absolute must in this deck given the meta I play in. Also you are spot on about the combo vs aggro slivers. The only aggro sliver left in the deck is Legion and that's because he is too good to pass up on. I have a different build for this deck which is much more aggro which I can post if there is interest.

Pozo2212 intruder alarm is part of an infinite combo with a man sliver, overlord and heart sliver. It's also fairly useful in general. Basically you get a mana producing sliver on the field and then use that mana to either tutor out other slivers or play them. Since you tapped your creatures for mana, they all untap when the creature you played entered the field. You then can tap them for mana again to repeat the process. If you have a haste sliver, you get an ever increasing amount of slivers that can tap for any color of mana and it becomes quite trivial to play every sliver in your deck. If that's not enough, you can use the token generating abilities of queen to do the same thing and make an infinite number of 1/1s

Sliver_God Thanks for letting me know! I keep making the mistake of not reading descriptions. I'll keep this in mind.

simon4garfield: Versus most board wipes, you should find Rally the Ancestors to work in your favor. Once they know the trick, you might have to start keeping up Negate or Dispel to make sure it resolves, but it will win you many games on the spot. Oh, as for Sliver Legion he can feel "Aggro" but in a deck like this one he seems more of an alternate win condition, doesn't he?

Pozo2212: Intruder Alarm is obviously insane with Gemhide, Manaweft, and Magma Slivers, but can also do a total lockout of opponents' lands on their upkeep with Telekinetic Sliver (So that now you are the only player at the table that ever gets to untap your creatures and lands!) Perhaps you want to take over all other Generals at the table with Amoeboid Changeling + Sliver Overlord? With Reflex Sliver you can instantly untap all of your creatures at will, which means that you can put multiple copies of triggers on the stack to fight through removal and even counterspells. Oh, and of course the infinite combos don't hurt either. ;)

Herbenix: No worries, and your point is still completely valid for most other types of Sliver decks: Many people dilute their power far too much in the pursuit of the toolbox... Sometimes hitting people in the face with a giant meathook or three is the best tool you can have!

luckybob64: Some of those would be fine in a build with a lot more slivers, but this is a 20-creature CounterSliver deck which means he is only looking to block and Control until he can resolve one of his combos.

Pozo2212: Of course I will be happy to generate time to give you some feedback on anything Sliver-related.

Have you thought about running Aggravated Assault? It can go infinite with a mana sliver and 5 other slivers. Though your deck is pretty creature light, so maybe that would be a stretch.

Also, I've found Crib Swap to be a great removal tutorable with the Overlord.

Mutavault can be handy for when you need another sliver with Intruder Alarm to go off, and Cryptic Gateway is another way you can combo off with the Overlord and a mana sliver.
