Maybeboard

Sliver tribal with Sliver Overlord at the helm. This deck has been repeatedly tuned over the past 5 years to make it more consistent and more competitive in my meta. It started out as an aggro deck but has slowly evolved into primarily combo with aggro as a fallback. The main enemy of the deck is board wipes and repeated removal of Sliver Overlord, so much of the deck is designed around reacting to that and playing around it.

Sliver selection

5 Color Slivers - All of the 5 color slivers are included due to their power, their unique strategies, and as answers to different problems. They can also act as alternative commanders if I get bored and want to mix things up.

Haste and Mana Slivers - The backbone of the deck and the foundation for most of the combos in the deck.

Protection Slivers - Crystalline Sliver, Sliver Hivelord, Ward Sliver, and Root Sliver are all there for protection from different problems.

Removal Slivers - Harmonic Sliver, Necrotic Sliver, Constricting Sliver, and Psionic Sliver are targeted removal for specific problems.

Sacrifice/Bounce Slivers - Darkheart Sliver, Hibernation Sliver, Basal Sliver, Firewake Sliver, and Frenetic Sliver are included to act as sacrifice/bounce engines to prevent my slivers from being exiled or taken and to remove slivers with downsides like Dormant Sliver and Shadow Sliver when they are inconvenient.

Other Creatures

Amoeboid Changeling - Included for it's synergy with Sliver Overlord that allows you to take any creature on the board.

Gaddock Teeg - Helps prevent board wipes and other large spells that could wreck your board state.

Tutors

Creature Tutors - Traverse the Ulvenwald, Survival of the Fittest, Chord of Calling, Eldritch Evolution, Birthing Pod, Defense of the Heart all act as alternative ways to grab your slivers and as a back-up when you can't get/keep Sliver overlord on the board.

Non-Creature Tutors - Enlightened Tutor and Mystical Tutor allow you to more consistently get the combo pieces that Sliver Overlord can't fetch.

Bring to Light - This card is an all-star in this deck. By using 5 colors of mana you can grab almost every creature in the deck, any of the mass reanimate spells, or Tempt with Discovery for extra lands and cast them immediately. It basically acts as a wild card for your deck.

Mana Ramp and Balancing

Chromatic Lantern and Prismatic Omen allow all of my lands to tap for any color. Cryptolith Rite acts as a back-up for Gemhide Sliver and Manaweft Sliver to allow my slivers to tap for any color of mana. Tempt with Discovery can be hit or miss depending on your playgroup and can sometimes take a little politicking to get the most benefit from it. But considering it lets you grab any land, even one person giving in can make a huge difference. And Burgeoning does what it does. It's even better for Sliver Overlord thanks to it's ability to tutor creatures.

Combo Pieces

Paradox Engine - With this, Sliver Overlord, a haste sliver, and a mana sliver in play you can start a loop that allows you to search for and play every sliver in your deck. By grabbing Psionic Sliver early you can use its ability to tap and kill all of your opponents with its targeted damage. If that's not an option, you can also just use the fact that you have all of your slivers in play to attack for lethal thanks to all of their abilities.

Intruder Alarm - Same combo set up as above, with the only drawback being that it only untaps on creatures entering the battlefield and it untaps your opponent's creatures as well. But this typically isn't a problem.

Training Grounds - Makes Sliver Overlord's abilities only cost 1 mana making it easier to start the loops with the two cards listed above. Also makes it incredibly easy to close out the game since using Overlord's ability to search for slivers becomes so cheap. My favorite play when Training Grounds and Sliver Overlord is on the board is to leave mana open and to respond to anyone wiping the board by tapping all my mana and filling my hand with slivers.

Other Cards

Aether Vial - Alternative way to get slivers on to the battlefield. Can also be used as a way to drop protection on the board instantly to get an opponent to burn a removal spell.

Steely Resolve - Basically a 2nd Crystalline Sliver for targeting protection.

Rhystic Study - Card advantage, plain and simple.

Urza's Incubator - More cost reduction. With this and Training Grounds on the board, things start happening very fast.

Dovescape - This is a pet card of mine. Stops most board wipes and removal and forces everyone into a "ground" game against the slivers. I don't get it often, but when I do it locks the board down and makes victory much easier.

Lands

There's not much to say about the manabase. Shocks, fetches, and 5 color producers that don't come into play tapped. A few utility cards as well for corner cases. I'll eventually spring for revised duals but right now this manabase seems fairly effective so I'm not very motivated to shell out that much cash.
