Maybeboard

-You like to play stax
-You like going wide and making lots of tokens
-You don't mind games going long
-You like playing an underused commander
-You want to play a fast combo deck
-You don't like attacking
-You want the game to be over fast
-You want to play blue
-Almost all combo pieces are useful even if you aren't going infinite. The sac outlets let you deal damage to players and gain life off of slimefoot, and their abilities on sacrifice aren't a bad thing either.
-The deck does well in long games, as it can make lots of creatures. This is amplified by the fact that even if someone blocks a saproling to prevent damage, they still take 1 and you gain 1 unless they are blocking will a Blood Artist , in which case the life loss isn't the biggest problem for them.
-The deck has a fairly low mana curve, so Ad Nauseam can get you through around 50-60 cards of your deck.
-Doesn't have access to blue
-Combos require several pieces
-You can't race decks like Jhoira or Selvala
The gameplan is to play stax pieces early to stop opponents from winng while you can assemble your own wincons.
When discussing combos, many can be aided by a sacrifice outlet. Lets look at them from best to worst funtion-wise:
Fungal Plots - This one does double duty as both a sac outlet and as a way to gain life and draw cards if the game is going long. You could draw yourself out, but you will most likely find a sac outlet you can use to finish the game if you haven't won already.
Phyrexian Altar - This one is next, as it provides infinite colored mana to recast .
Ashnod's Altar - One of the better sac outlets, lets you make more mana for saprolings.
Carrion Feeder - This one is good, because even if Slimefoot dies and they kill all the saprolings, you still have a beater.
Viscera Seer - This is the worst value wise, but lets you put whatever card you want on top of your library if Slimefoot dies.
Obviously any of them work just fine, and mana is also a consideration.
If you are unable to find a sacrifice outlet, you can use either Toxic Deluge or Pernicious Deed to kill all of your saprolings.
The combos in the deck revolve around abusing Slimefoot's first ability to drain your opponents for infinite life by making and sacrificing infinite saprolings. Note: When discussing the total mana needed for a combo, this does not include the mana for a sacrifice outlet, but does include Slimefoot himself.
Use Maze of Ith and Argothian Elder to create infinite mana during your combat step. Use this mana to make infinite saprolings with Slimefoot's second ability, then sacrifice them all to any sacrifice outlet. This is the only combo where you can use Phyrexian Tower to sacrifice all of your saprolings. Total mana needed for the combo: , but it also uses up a land drop.
Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth let you make infinite mana, and you can use this with Slimefoot's second ability to make infinite saprolings, then sacrifice them all for the win. Total mana needed for the combo:
With Parallel Lives out you can use Slimefoot's ability to make 2 saprolings instead of 1, which you can sacrifice to Ashnod's Altar for the 4 mana needed to use Slimefoot's ability again. You can repeat this process any number of times to drain your opponent's for infinite. Doubling Season can be used as a backup here. Total mana needed for combo: Anywhere from to , depending on how many creatures you can sacrifice to the altar and whether you use doubling season or parallel lives.
Use Paradox Engine + Sprout Swarm to flood the board with saprolings and gain infinite mana. The deck has enough mana rocks/dorks that you can win with this combo, and it even gets cheaper every cast. After you successfully make infinite saprolings, sac them all to win via slimefoot(cast with the infinite mana), and if you cant sac them, its still an unstoppable board, because even if they remove they saprolings via something like Toxic Deluge , you still get all the death triggers.
Total mana needed for combo: anywhere from to depending on how many non-ramp creatures you can tap to convoke.
Use Phyrexian Altar + Parallel Lives + Doubling Season to make each activation of slimefoot's ability produce 4 saprolings, which you can then sac to the altar for the 4 mana needed for the activation.
Note:Do not use this combo unless you stumble into it or it is your only option. I am only mentioning it because it is a purely coincidental combo formed by the deck.
Total mana needed for combo: anywhere from to
From testing the deck has consistent turn 3-5 wins uninterrupted, with getting one or two stax pieces down on the field. All games will be recorded here.
