Welcome to The Glorious Slim Line

Accompanying Music:

"So, you have been chosen as the saviour of Innistrad. They want you to go out and defend your title as "The Chosen One" and come back with stories of your findings. So you gather some help from the Eldrazi in your quest in acquiring some spells to use against your opponents to get the glory of being both passive and aggressive. Make sure you pick up some glorified trophies of your travels."

Tale #1

"You've crossed your first plane and got some glory kills and some great stories to share with your followers as they wait in anticipation. There has been a famous planeswalker who noticed you as an up and coming blue mage during your travel through your first planeswalk. It must feel great to have such an awesome wizard like him notice you. The travel home is really easy because there is not much hassle with help and as your stories are told, you gain more followers and you grow into "The Glorious One" and be glorified across Innistrad."

Tale #2

"After finding out that some of your spells were not as good as what they once were, you had to change your attitude, even if it meant rejecting the famous planeswalker who taught you a couple tricks. As you go into a new plane, some of your followers have followed you. Since you need a plane for your followers, you call the plane "The Glorious Plane" and tell your followers to bring more so that they may spread the word that glory will set them free. As you are leaving, you are seeing more followers coming and you now consider them your glorious subjects."

Tale #3

"Thanks to several battles with other planeswalkers on some distant plane, you find yourself at the mercy of having to change up your game a little bit. Some lifeforms do not like blue. Your attempts to persuade them fall on deaf ears. After changing your tone and attitude, you find that those who doubted you, have become faithful to you and have earned their respect. With this new envisioned attitude, many of your glorious subjects have seen that they want to be more than just your subjects and followers."

Tale #4

"You travel back to your plane and see that your title of "The Glorious One" has been stripped by your subjects thanks to the same planeswalker whom thought you would be great. Thankfully, you saw what he had up his sleeve and twisted him into submission. Now your glorious title and plane are back in your control. Your subjects now have the utmost respect for you since you will always be "The Glorious One" whom saved them."

Tale #5

"You see that having shiny versions makes your subjects envious and suspicious that you are up to something that you are out to get them. So, you build and open up "The Glorious House of Gains" for your subjects to make sure that you'll always be with them, no matter what. Training was also a mainstay at "The Glorious House of Gains" so that whenever you come back, you'll be the mentor to those who decide to follow in your footsteps. Remember, you have to be the best to make sure that they look up to you."

Tale #6

"Arriving on a brand new plane, you witness another planeswalker who is named "The Perfect One" says that THEY were originally "The Chosen One" and were set out to be the best they could be. Seems like The Perfect Kill it with Fire wants to face "The Glorious One" in a battle for the title of "The Chosen One" to reign supreme over both respective planes. You have trained all your live for this. You have given up so much to be here. All the sweat and tears you have shed leads to this one moment. Make sure that you are "The Perfect One" who comes out on top or else, everything you have lived for will just be a waste."

Tale #7 continues here

This deck is part of a Duel Deck that was hatched as an idea. Since there are already a Duel Deck out there for Jace vs. Chandra, there should be a modern version of both decks with a budget of the same price of the original Duel Deck Set ($150 for both decks) where both hits fast and hard and that is the goal for this Duel Deck set.

I got the idea from CardTyrant and one of his decks, Slim Fast. I modified it slightly so that I could actually have a but more syngergy. Both his and my decks together in a 2-Headed Giant game, just targeting one of the two makes it that much harder to counter . . . unless it is against the same decks. Also, the Blue vs Red is always a great idea.

Updates Add

Original Duel Deck: Jace vs Chandra: Jace's Deck

I got the idea of doing a Modern twist on the Duel Deck Set between Jace and Chandra once I finished this deck. I also got the idea of having the deck with a sideboard for as little as possible but help the deck as best as possible.
