Sky SCrew

Greetings Programs~!

This deck is an aggressive Mono-White deck, made for the Pauper world.

This deck came from the inspiration of the new Kaladesh set. I had been messing with vehicles in various colours [U, U/B, W/B] and decided to take a look at Mono-White.

The deck took shape slowly, because the beginning had a lot of cards I felt were useful, so it made it hard to figure out what to cut.

At first I had 2 Aradara Express in the deck, but it was more of a "win-more" card, or just didn't come in use at all, and stalled the deck out.

Sky Skiff and Renegade Freighter became the main focus.

The Skiff and the Freighter are strong and aggressive. Being able to use a Freighter for pure damage, or as a removal spell is very effective. Having Vehicles on the field means that a lot of our draws can become an instant threat. It's also pseudo Totem Armor in a way, opponents might want to focus on the vehicles instead of the creatures you're playing, so killing a Vehicle becomes a priority while you build a field.

I was having a hard time figuring out what to put in my 2 drop-spots. For a long time I had things like Topan Freeblade and Benalish Calvary, and even though they were nice, they didn't feel effective.

I eventually fell upon trying Metalcrafters. They can start small, crew some Skiffs, but have the potential to become fully realized creatures, too.

2x Ardent Recruit and 3x Auriok Sunchaser are the Metalcrafters I use.

I find that these are always useful, even if we don't have Metalcraft online. Crewing Vehicles, chump blocking, threatening plausible damage the turn after/in general.Though, Metalcraft comes online quite often.

I'm going to count Thraben Inspector as an artifact, since she spits one out, anyway.I pair her up with creatures that bounce the Inspector back to my hand. more on that later.

Tooth of Chiss-Goria and Bonesplitter became apart of the deck, after I realized I could just use them to be agressive over card draw off of Metalspinner's Puzzleknot. Tooth and Bonesplitter were suggested to me from a user off of the Pauper Discord. As much as I love drawing cards, and like the MSpin Puzzleknot, the deck felt too agressive to sit around trying to draw cards.

4x Ancient Den self explanitory.

And lastly, Porcelain Legionaire as a 1 of. The Legionaire is handy in corner cases. Due to it's low toughness it's only a 1 of, though. It also doesn't synnergize with the bouncing the deck provides.

4x Kor Skyfisher and 3x Aviary Mechanic.

These 7 cards help to make artifacts, card draw, chump blockers, agressive fliers, and gain life.

There is also 3x Orzhov Basilica to help create additional mana, and bounce Kabira Crossroads to gain life.

Lone Missionary, Porcelain Legionaire, Sandsteppe Outcast, Theaben Inspector have all been mentioned, along with their role.

Two cards not mentioned yet are Veteran Armorer and Stonybrook Schoolmaster .

Veteran Armorer can be important through the game for different reasons. It helps anything we have at 1 toughness, and makes them much more formidable. It can pump the toughness of important pieces, like the Stonybrook Schoolmaster and it's tokens, Sky Skiff for better blocks, or Renegade Freighter to make it a 5/5, while swinging. Much harder to deal with.

Stonybrook Schoolmaster is great to use with Vehicles. Crewing activates it's ability, slowly making an army, or making a chump blocker. They can also be used as crew, for better swings.

Just smashing face as much as possible.

Even though this deck can play defensively, you want to just be getting in damage as quick as possible with vehicles, tokens, creatures. Just be smart about your moves.

Going by CC, we have;

Fragmentize Affinity, Mill, Burn, White Weenies, Bogles, etc. Anything packing artifacts or enchantments.

Relic of Progenitus With Drake in the meta, this card becomes a lot more important. Really, this comes in a slew of deck in pauper, though. Graveyard hate can be very strong.

On the 2 costs;

We have Circle of Protection: Red, Burn, Kiln-Feind, etc.

Circle of Protection: Black MBC, anything running Angler, etc.

Circle of Protection: Green Bogles, Elves, etc.

Creature removal with Journey to Nowhere.

Also with Last Breath which is mainly useful against Drake decks.

Dawn Charm against anything that targets you, your creatures, or aggressive strategies trying to blow you out with a combat trick.

On the 3 costs;

Token decks get the Holy Light treatment.
