In the past, my shop was building Pauper Commander decks based on the deck building constraints posted in Adam Styborski's article "Cheap Date". So unlike other Pauper metas, we're narrowed down to purely the ten MTGO allied generals. (Later this may change when the format gets stale.) This is my tuned Selesnya tokens Populate (or Paupulate GROAN) build.

Strategy Show

The deck seeks to build as much of an evasive token swarm as possible and then attack while pumping creatures with Overrun -type effects ( Bold Defense , Angel of the Dawn , Dawnfeather Eagle , Sigil Blessing , Tah-Crop Elite ). Flying Bird tokens and the beefier 3/3, 4/4, and X/X tokens should be the focus for the few populate effects. Creatures that leave a token behind when dying ( Walker of the Grove and Steadfast Sentinel ) are also inclusions in order to grind further value out of losing creatures in combat steps.

Spidersilk Armor counters Stench of Decay / Shrivel / Barrage of Boulders -type sweepers.

Caustic Caterpillar is one of the best green one-drops in Commander and is a fantastic inclusion in the list.

Card Advantage Show

Card advantage in Pauper Selesnya is fairly sparse, so the usual suspects are automatically included. ( Krosan Tusker , Yavimaya Elder , and Horizon Spellbomb function as badly needed Divination -esque draw effects for the deck.) Pygmy Kavu might be considered a weak inclusion, but the Pauper Commander meta is heavily skewed towards Pestilence and Grey Merchant of Asphodel recursion making Pygmy Kavu carry a reasonable possibility of drawing multiple cards. Also due to Grey Merchant of Asphodel recursion decks, all creature removal is instant-speed and exile-based when possible along with a heavy anti-artifact package to combat Ashnod's Altar which nullifies most exile-based removal. Last and least, Survival Cache was dropped to common in Iconic Masters and is being tested.

Considered cards Show

Elven Cache , Pulse of Murasa , and Revive are Regrowth effects at common, but there's very little in the deck outside of Sprout Swarm that is essential to return to your hand from the graveyard that would be worth cutting another card.

Outside of infinite combos, considering cutting Coursers' Accord , Isolation Zone , or Trostani's Judgment for Kytheon's Tactics .

Possible card alternatives would include:
Changing Horizon Spellbomb and a Forest for Expedition Map and Cloudpost cuts potential card advantage, but enables searching for the other half of the Locus cards when the first half is found to speed up mana. However, mana really isn't an issue.
