To bee hornet to bee, that is the question!

Any +1s, Comments, and Tips are welcome, preferably with explanation! I want to keep it budget, though I've recently un-budgetfied the manabase.

Main Goal:

Stay alive during the early turns by getting Hornet Nest out asap, and building some life gain off Soul Warden. The nest should be popped with as much damage as possible (Brave the Sands is nice for that), as that gives you more flying deathtouch tokens. Ideally also gain a lot of life from all these tokens. Buff the tokens with Obelisk to suddenly deal "GG" amounts of damage. Especially easy to cast at any time because of the convoke. Vigilance from Brave the Sands and Intangible Virtue gives you a strong defensive option even if you onlyget a few tokens, while allowing you to attack with flying stingers.

Mainboard:

  • Archetype of Courage makes sure our tokens stay alive against everything that doesn't have double strike.
  • Elvish Mystic ramp means Nest could be out at T2.
  • Hornet Nest is the star. Can generate a crazy amount of tokens, that will buy you time for your combos.
  • Hornet Queen Instant nest for late-game.
  • Intangible Virtue buffs and gives vigilance. Frees you to attack with whatever you want.
  • Obelisk of Urd and call insect. Suddenly you're not only killing every creature you touch, but you can close the game. Can cause great surprise damage, easy to cast due to convoke.
  • Ajani's Presence protects Hornet Nest, mostly. Indestructible is awesome
  • Brushland is a budget land choice, made possible by the lifegain from Soul Warden.Brave the Sands means the Hornet Nest can take double damage (and generate double creatures), and all tokens can attack + block 2 creatures, making sure they don't run out as fast (and when buffed, they kill 2 attackers. Amazing!
  • Swarmyard '1 Colorless' regen. Basically brilliant.
  • Setessan Tactics to force people into damaging your nest, including flying. after getting the flying tokens there is no problem with that anymore.
  • Soul Warden is one part of the soul sisters, couldn't find a good way to implement the other 4. Great lifegain when combined with hornet nest for obvious reasons.

Maybeboard:

  • Armada Wurm 10/10 trample for 6. Arbor Colossus 6/6 reach with monstrosity. If just insects aren't good enough, these could help you close games.
  • Soul's Attendant Doesn't fit in the deck currently, but is a great other half of the soul sisters.
  • Chord of Calling to get Queen out faster, for a lot of hard earned money.
  • Fracturing Gust bring out the big guns against your artifact nemesis. Costs quite some money too.
  • Coat of Arms can replace Obelisk of Urd. does a LOT more damage, but can also help your opponent and is sometimes harder to cast. Still figuring out which to mainboard.
  • Oblivion Ring is great removal when necessary, though usually enemy scary things is exactly what will let you win. They hit hard, you hit back harder.

Updates Add

Done some changes.

TL;DR: -2 Order of Whiteclay, -1 Asceticism +3 Brave the Sands

It was too difficult to use Order of Whiteclay his ability in this deck. He has been replaced by the often-requested Brave the Sands

I've gone and removed Asceticism as well. The hexproof wasn't vital anymore around turn 5, and the most dangerous spells were the mass removal ones anyway. When I encounter such a deck, I will run Rootborn Defense. Regen is also not as necessary anymore because Order is out, and I have 4 swarmyard in the current iteration.

Also, Considering to get 4x Soul's Attendant instead of Elvish Mystic. Getting Hornet's Nest out on turn 2 is considerably awesome, but It didn't work as often as I'd like. Getting statistically double life per token is also awesome, but delaying hornet nest might bring it into too much counter range. I'll playtest it
