At my Prerelease event over the weekend I pulled a very nice foil Mechanized Production and was trying to think of the best way to get it in a deck and use it as a win con. Of course I immediately jumped to thopter/servo production, but after messing around with it I just wasn't a huge fan. But then it hit me, CLUES!

Clues are the key! We want to ideally start with an Erdwal Illuminator and Ongoing Investigation in our hand, bonus points if you already have Heroic Intervention and Tamiyo's Journal or Mechanized Production in there as well. Erdwal Illuminator is just as much a part of making this deck run smoothly as Mechanized Production, so don't underestimate the floating spirit thing. His ability to double our first Investigate of every turn is a huge reason of why we're able to keep pumping out multiple clues per turn, so don't underestimate him. In fact, I've included a playset of Blossoming Defense in the sideboard that would probably be a good idea to swap in after game 1 to protect him. Now that we have the Illuminator out we want to on our next turn drop Ongoing Investigation if our opponent has no way to protect themselves from flying, if they do focus on another 3 drop like Tireless Tracker or Byway Courier or hold the mana to drop a Metallic Rebuke on their turn and put them a turn behind. From here on we really just want to focus on generating clues and not letting your opponent kill you, Jace's Scrutiny, Metallic Rebuke, and Confront the Unknown all work really well for this. The trick to using Mechanized Production successfully is to, for the most part, ignore that it copies the artifact for you, if you play this when you only have 2-3 clues on the board and expect that its going to live long enough to win you the game, you're fooling yourself. Drop Production when you've got at the bare minimum 7 clues with no Tamiyo's Journal or 5-6 clues with Tamiyo's Journal, and make sure when you play it you have at least 6 mana, or the ability to Improvise it out with something like Inspiring Statuary, and most importantly, save your Heroic Intervention to answer threats dropped by your opponent that will try to destroy the clue that Production is attached to, done like this and you should have no problem getting the win.

Let's talk sideboard, We've already mentioned Blossoming Defense so I won't go back into it too much, it saves your creatures from removal, sub it in if you're playing against a removal heavy control deck. Ceremonious Rejection I like to sub in against Vehicles or other Artifact heavy decks to help me control the madness with which they can get out of hand. Another couple Gearseeker Serpents in case we need to shift into a more aggro based shell for a match against heavy control. Negate comes in handy when playing against other mid-range-y decks and I'll often sub in these few copies to help shift more towards control. Root Out honestly may eventually be mainboarded depending on the local meta around here, getting rid of vehicles/other artifacts/mean enchantments and an investigate trigger all rolled into one is very nice for obvious reasons.

Really this is a deck that has the versatility to survive all but the most extreme aggro attacks, it may be a little weaker to Control as we have very specific pieces that we need to drop at specific times but we do have a psuedo-aggro shell that we can turn to if we lose our Mechanized Productions.
