When the spoilers from Modern Horizons were coming, I was immediately in love with both Archmage's Charm and Ice-Fang Coatl . So I started brewing a blue/green control deck with Growth Spiral , Torrential Gearhulk and Wilderness Reclamation . But as I was starting to test, I had the feeling that, in this fast metagame, a strictly reactive deck would have major issues.

So when M20 rolled around and I saw what both Brineborn Cutthroat and Nightpack Ambusher could do in Standard, I thought to myself: What if we tried this strategy in Modern where we have a lot more powerful things to cast on our opponents turn. So that's what I started to work on, and this list is where I have ended up with.
