Introduction

My Sidisi reanimation and self-mill deck. Built with a few things in mind:

• Completely tutorless, not even tutoring for land. Less shuffling, more time for play.
• Using some spells that can be played even if they end up in my graveyard, i.e. mechanics like Flashback (Spider Spawning and Dredge (Life from the Loam).
• Prioritizing disruption that affect all opponents and give a 2-(or more)-for-1-effect, i.e. playing Bane of Progress over Acidic Slime.
• Having a flexible gameplan. The main goal is to mill my own deck and reanimate a combopiece, but I can also mill my opponents and reanimate from their graveyards. This also scales the power level the deck against particularly strong or weak decks.

Gameplan

Mill myself out with Cephalid Illusionist + Lightning Greaves or Mesmeric Orb + Basalt Monolith. Win with Laboratory Maniac.

Card choices:

A more detailed description of why I've chosen the cards in my list above. SHOW

HIDE

Mana:

Ramp or fixing, since I have a budget land base. Dorks for accelerating my big spells and triggers for Sidisi (I like dorks), Basalt Monolith for combo.

Mill:

Most times I'll mill myself, but several of my mill options can target opponents as well if a mill-victory is possible. Cephalid Illusionist is mainly a combo-piece.Deadbridge Chant's immediate effect is mill, but can also draw cards if left alone.

Damage:

Wonder, Filth and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord makes sure my damage gets through. I've chosen big beaters that bring other utility as well. A sacrificed creature enchanted by Nighthowler (to Jarad / Disciple of Bolas) let's me keep my big beater, and Golgari Grave-Troll can be reused as well if I have more mana available.Splinterfright mill in addition to being a big beater.

Reanimation:

Eternal Witness is a staple.
Havengul Lich get a card from A graveyard, instant speed. Good with ETB-effects. If waiting a turn and copying a Phenax or Eater it's not limited by summoning sickness. This is also great protection as I can get back removal in response to someone activating a Tormod's Crypt.
Several of the reanimation-spells can fetch two-card combos. If it's not yet time to win the game, Victimize can get a beater + Disciple of Bolas to draw a lot of cards.
Victimize for Eternal Witness will get the card back for a combowin later.
If a big portion of my deck is in my graveyard, Dread Return for Eternal Witness to get back Victimize and win by combo.

Draw:

Mainly creature-based. Edric, Spymaster of Trest is great with Wonder/Filth and Dredge, Disciple can draw a lot with my big beaters and Notion Thief looks fun in response to a big draw spell (i.e. Recurring Insight). Also good with Dredge.
Deep Analysis is a combopiece when milled out and with a Laboratory Maniac in play.

Disruption

Mainly 2-or-more-for-1. Everybody plays some kind of tutors, and Ob Nixilis, Unshackled punishes fetchlands, Kodama's Reach and Demonic Tutor. I can't wait to flash in Notion Thief in response to a Recurring Insight.

Tokens

For the beatdown-plan, or milling with Phenax or Altar of Dementia. Two of the spells can be cast from my graveyard. Neat.

Utility:

Diregraf Captain supports several of the plans this deck wants: Milling more with Altar of Dementia, hitting harder with Wonder/Filth, drawing more with Disciple of Bolas, etc.
Eater of the Dead is both gravehate and combopiece with Phenax, God of Deception
Lightning Greaves is good for protecting Sidisi, and extra good with Cephalid Illusionist.
Fleshbag Marauder makes sure Wonder or Filth get back in my graveyard after casting Living Death.
