"You know what this situation calls for?"

Sidisi, Undead Vizier does, and the right card for the problem you're facing is just a tutor away... Welcome to Sidisi's Advanced Course in the Art of Unliving-- class is in session.

With 4 different infinite Mana combos and an answer to nearly anything, this deck is next to unbeatable in the right hands. The ONLY prerequisite to using it is understanding its' many combos and synergies.

The deck itself functions best when utilizing its' various artifacts and enchantments--

First, and foremost:

Conjurer's Closet flickers Sidisi, allowing her to exploit your various tokens or recurring creatures for a tutor each end step.

Other cards that synergize with Conjurer's Closet's turn-by-turn flicker:

A few tricks...

  • Unbreathing Horde's counters reset each time you flicker him, making him the single most effective blocker in your deck, not to mention his potential to be a (infinite/infinite) creature... Tap Miren, the Moaning Well, and get (infinite) life.

  • Each time you flicker Phylactery Lich, you may choose a new artifact to place a phylactery counter on, making him next to invincible.

ANOTHER trick...

  • Ghoulcaller Gisa can sacrifice Unbreathing Horde and turn him into (infinite?) zombies ... keep him playing from the graveyard with Gravedigger and double the size of your zombie army each turn.

Total Mana Cost? 4 , a turn

While you're at it, toss in Endless Ranks of the Dead, because you can never have TOO many zombies... right? ... Right.

In a Tribal Zombie deck, Door of Destinies is indispensable.

Get Gravecrawler on the field with a sac outlet, like Mind Slash or Ashnod's Altar with infinite Mana and put as many counters as you can fit on each corpse in your zombie army.

Nearly the entirety of your deck is Zombie creatures, who will ALL benefit from Door of Destinies' counters...

("Zombies" who you control because of Grimoire of the Dead and Grave Betrayal count too.)

Passive Lifegain:

Whip of Erebos, enough said.

Foul-Tongue Shriek, swing with a vengeance.

Tendrils of Corruption, high-landcount whip for cheap.

Horde of zombies? Vampiric Rites + infinite mana = Infinite health, and as big a hand as you want.

If you're hand is as nearly big as your deck and you have infinite mana, you can play your entire deck at once.

Be careful not to draw yourself out.

When time (or tutor) allows, get Tel-Jilad Stylus on the field-- it will flick a permanent you control to the bottom of your deck. Do this at instant speed to save important pieces of the deck from sweeps, control, and spot removal.

Most MTG players will sneer at the obvious enchantments, such as Dictate of Erebos or Grave Betrayal, but THIS pool of enchantments has a few more tricks than that...

Getting rid of Call to the Grave when playing a zombie deck isn't easy.

Shadows of the Past and Underworld Connections help you draw the cards you need faster.

Waste Not adds a dynamic to the decks mill and target discard cards that make them worth tutoring, to be sure, and turns practically anything tossed into an opponent's grave into a weapon to be used against them.

To name a few:

As if a defender zombie tree wasn't cool enough, Black Oak of Odunos can pay mana to tap a creature you control. Tap your inspired creatures to keep them from dying, but reap their benefits.

King Macar, the Gold-Cursed is inspired, and target exiles a creature whenever he comes untapped, turning them into a gold statue that cracks for mana.

Forlorn Pseudamma can pay mana upon untapping to make enchantment zombies. These are tokens, but the enchantment motif synergizes with other enchantment creatures, such as Agent of Erebos

Zombie Trailblazer will get your attacking creatures through...

Especially ones like Raving Dead, or creatures with Mental Vapors or Midnight Recovery encoded on to them.

The Humans are All-Stars:

The vampires are expensive, but worthwhile:

Tap a vampire when you play Blood Tribute to cut target opponents' life in half (rounded down) and gain the life lost.

Tap (or control) Defiant Bloodlord to deal the life gained as additional damage, for an instant win, wether your opponent had 40 life, or 400.

Use infinite Mana and Empty the Pits to generate (infinite?) zombies.

Destroy an opponent's giant creature with Grisly Spectacle, and mill their decks out.

Hero's Downfall will resolve ANY issue.

Infinite Mana Combos:

Magus of the Coffers + Umbral Mantle = infinite mana

Rings of Brighthearth + Basalt Monolith = infinite mana

Nim Deathmantle + Priest of Gix + Ashnod's Altar = infinite / mana

Lastly, Cabal Coffers + Deserted Temple + Onyx Talisman = infinite mana for as long as you have spells in hand, or Gravecrawler in sac-limbo.
