Here is my attempt at a competitive Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker EDH deck.

I'm working on a primer.

Game Plan

Step 1: setup quick mana for Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker

Step 2: Cast Shirei with fodder & engine in play.

Step 3: Protect Shirei while accruing value and forcing other players to discard hand with Burglar Rat or Rotting Rats or Yarok's Fenlurker .

Step 4: PROFIT!! We generate a lot of mana with Pawn of Ulamog or Pitiless Plunderer or Sifter of Skulls . Finish your opponents with the usual Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire
