General Arahbo, Roar of the World and his Shinra Kitty soldiers rush into battle.

Step 1. Play cheap cats fast.

Step 2. Free boost from General Arahbo, Roar of the World's Eminence.

Step 3. Lead your feline phalanx to victory by swinging in with a cat that's just too big (thanks to Arahbo, Roar of the World, before an opponent with a big oppressive general can even cast/play them. Or, if they eventually CAN cast their general and it somehow is big enough to compete, shift your approach to going wide.

These casts are relentless, and while some may see cat decks as a quirky joke, this one is fine tuned for aggressive battle. We aren't overly concerned with life gain or too many combat tricks. Just keep dropping cats, and get value from their fearless leader directly from the Command Zone. In play-testing, I've found that the deck has often outperformed my Isamaru, Hound of Konda and Thrun, the Last Troll decks. Yes, Isamaru is faster, and yes Thrun is borderline un-fukc-with-able... but surprisingly these cats do a great job of being almost as fast as Isamaru (usually a turn behind if no 1-drop), and swarm much faster/wider to set up for a win better than Isamaru or Thrun can suit up their Voltron gear.

Some upgrades COULD be in the form of moxen or 0 cmc ramp, BUT I've chosen to pass on them. I have plenty of decks that are glittery with all the fancy toys, and I just find that this build wants a Plains in it's starting hand more than a mox (if it's gonna be one or the other). Ideally, both would be great, but there's no way to guarantee it.. so I've chosen more basics and some fetches for mana fixing and thinning. Bottom line is, we have as many decent low-cmc cats as we can fit, and just need to start with a basic land to get ahead, or ideally an Command Tower.
