Shifty Rainforest

Casual GU (Simic)

Discoduck

This deck is super fun to play (for me anyway). Turns creatures into trees & lands into Islands & snakes into unstoppable killers.

Mid-range tempo/ card draw/ beatdown. Starting turn 3-4 it's attacking for nasty evasive damage and likely drawing lots of cards. Tries to end the game soon after with a few unblockable/ trampling attacks that hit for huge damage.

Kaseto, Orochi Archmage obviously turns snakes into evasive gargantuans, and even has great benefit for the only non-snake here, in the uncommon event there is not an island on the enemy's board.

River Boa is a solid early drop that can block forever, survive most board wipe, and deal massive damage with support.

Lorescale Coatl gets the most benefit of anything here - pump and evasion from Kaseto, pump from all the extra card draw, trample from Rancor. It puts the opponent on a clock, and draws removal from some less flashy/ more valuable creatures. It can get real big real fast, and easily gain evasion.

Cold-Eyed Selkie is already somewhat evasive, and putting a Rancor on her will net tons of card draw.

Winged Coatl is mainly used as a tricky "kill spell," and can also serve as a surprise attacker with Kaseto's pump.

Mystic Snake is insurance for when the game goes longer than expected; best saved for board wipes and other must-not-resolve spells from the opponent. Otherwise, great surprise blocker and even a solid finisher with Kaseto's buff.

Rancor grants damage and evasion, enhancing the strengths and/ or covering the weaknesses of all the creatures here. Best on the Selkie, and makes Lorescale Coatl a lethal finisher without any other help.

Lignify nullifies even the fattest creatures, which is great, because direct creature removal is extremely rare in blue-green.

Spreading Seas does a lot of things here. It is primarily an islandwalk enabler. It can also screw over multicolor decks by denying crucial colored mana. It pumps Lorescale Coatl when it replaces itself. Can even fix your own mana base when that extra island is critical. Wouldn't take it out for anything, never sad to have it.

Brainstorm for obvious utility + permanently pumping Lorescale Coatl at instant speed.
