Sideboard

Planeswalker (4)

This is a deck I built mostly as a fun deck, but I would like it to be able to win more games even in the casual que if not the ladder. So the idea around this deck is primarily to abuse the interaction between Thassa, Deep-Dwelling and Spark Double. I built a deck a while ago that uses Spark Double to essentially clone planeswalkers (primarily Sarkhan the Masterless and Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God and this is essentially an extension of that. By flickering Spark Double with Thassa you can get clones of other creatures and planeswalkers. So, you have a Liliana, Dreadhorde General down on the table and you need another 2/2 Zombie, no problem. Spark Double your Lili and make one. Need another Dragon from Sarkhan to kill your opponent's creatures with triggers? No problem, Spark Double him and you'll get 2 triggers from each Dragon token plus another Dragon. You can use Bolas twice in one turn with Spark Double, or anything else you need. Ok, so you get it, you clone the Planeswalkers. Even using Thassa to flicker Spark Double doesn't do a whole lot for you because you have to wait until your next turn to capitalize on the flicker. Well, what is the biggest problem with Planeswalkers? they are vulnerable to direct damage and attacks from your opponent's creatures, especially after a minus ability is used or when the Planeswalker is ultimated. Well, if you use Sarkhan to turn all of your Planeswalkers into creatures you can use Thassa to flicker them restoring their Loyalty Counter count to their starting total making them just a little less vulnerable. If you Spark Double Thassa you can bounce multiple Planeswalkers and setup for another big Planeswalker turn next turn! If you Sideboard-in Teferi, Master of Time or you flicker a Spark Double to clone Teferi, you can use his abilities during your opponent's turns to Phase Out his big creatures or you can draw a bunch of extra cards. The deck is pretty fun to play, but I wish it was more competitive, but I guess it suffers from the same thing most Superfriends deck suffer from.
